This role is responsible for the delivery and ownership of the equities warrants market making application stack in Australia. You will be working with the global warrants market making team in Pune, London and Frankfurt to represent the Australian business and actively engage in all aspects of SDLC including close collaboration with the business, gathering functional and non-functional requirements, designing solutions, providing architectural input, code reviews, testing and deploying applications
In this role, you're expected to:
Oversee development of Australian equities warrants market making application stack, design solutions, coordinate delivery, investigate production incidents, offer L2 support to the business
Develop technical solutions to meet business requirements taking into account recommended technologies, non-functional requirements, internal policies and procedures
Participate in all elements of SDLC from gathering business requirements through architecting, designing, code reviews, testing, deploying applications
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and other technology team members both locally and overseas
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the local and regional business
Offer support to head of Australian Markets and Securities Services Technology and global Warrants Market Making business
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Strong capabilities in Business Analysis, Architecture and Design
Experience of implementing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and taking them from initial concept through to final delivery and post implementation support
In-depth knowledge of FIX protocol and proven experience in front-office system delivery
Understanding of Market Making concepts & Algo Trading is preferrable
Good foundation in equity derivatives, and understanding of greeks & risk calculations is preferable.
Understanding of high volume, low latency trading systems and technical challenges of their design and operation
Well-rounded technologist with a good grasp of Java, C++ & C#
Strong knowledge of relational databases (Sybase, SqlServer) and script languages (perl, bash, python)
Knowledge of third party Market Data provider platforms (eg, Reuters) highly desirable
Proven experience with analysis and design in a real-time environment, preferably gained in a financial trading systems environment
Experience with working effectively with remote teams across different timezones
Understanding of guiding principles of robust enterprise architecture
Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to various audiences (both business and technology) at appropriate level in clear and concise manner
Familiarity with both traditional waterfall as well agile project management methodologies
- Strong knowledge of the Australian equities and derivatives markets
- Understanding of issues and concerns surrounding Market Making and Algo trading
- Familiarity with regulatory environments in relation to Market Making
