What progress will you make?
Our Finance team is a trusted advisor to stakeholders throughout the firm, delivering timely, accurate and complete information, accompanied by insightful analytics to enable Citi’s leaders to make sound decisions in support of the business’ objectives. It’s comprised of various disciplines including Treasury, Tax, Controllers, Financial Planning & Analysis and Capital Planning, which oversee matters at global, regional, country, business, product, function and legal entity levels.
The Finance Controls & Entity Senior Analyst position has several key priorities:
- Overseeing Risk & Controls (R&C) for the Finance department, with a particlar focus on the Finance Controller function
- Legal Entity Management (LEM) & Reporting for specific entities
- Facilitating adhoc projects
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Manage R&C deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
- Analyze R&C weaknesses, and provide insight and recommendations on issues
- Drive relevant control improvements to strengthen R&C framework for the department
- Support the implementation of controls, policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other businesses and functions to resolve finance related issues
- Build and maintain a thorough understanding of Citi’s Risk & Control framework, and Financial reporting, systems and processes
- Coordinate and manage relationship with Auditors and Regional/Global R&C Leads
- Execute LEM activities, including reporting, analysis and system setups
- Conduct process re-engineering to improve the timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting activities
- Coordinate ad-hoc projects and tasks
- Act with integrity, due skill, care and diligence in carrying out roles and responsibilities
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 6-10 years of experience in financial services preferred
- Experience in risk & controls and/or audit
- Experience with change management
- Proven accounting knowledge, pertaining to the banking or financial services industry
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills – ability to work under pressure, multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast paced environment where unexpected changes may occur
- Proven attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate 360 degrees across various levels
- Demonstrated initiative - has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- Accounting qualifications preferred
