Citi Cards & Loans, Business Operations & Control

The Business Operations team supports all units within Cards, Consumer Lending & Diners Club to execute and deliver product maintenance activities and marketing campaigns that occur as a result of ongoing/business-as-usual (BAU) activity. 

The strategic intent of this role is to develop, maintain, and drive continuous improvements in the operational and overall control framework across Citi's Cards, Consumer Lending and Diners Club businesses.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Overseeing the change management process between the CCLD product teams, Delivery Services, and the Vendors themselves – maintaining the pipeline of work, prioritising work items appropriately, ensuring all work is completed to a high level of accuracy, and delivered to committed schedules and SLA’s.
  • Reviewing processes and activities to identify key contributors to control failures and overall risk management
  • Identifying control gaps and optimize processes
  • Ongoing analysis of control breakdowns, processes and activities required to ensure delivery of control commitments
  • Formulating strategies to drive performance and improvement to ensure high control levels are met
  • Relationship Management/ with the payment schemes (Visa, MasterCard and Discover) from an operational perspective - to ensure that Citi is compliant with all operational scheme mandates, and to communicate the roadmap of change to relevant stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Driving profitable and sustainable growth through implementation and management of an effective controls framework
  • Ensuring that all work performed meets established Compliance and Legal policies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in financial or professional services industry
  • Tertiary degree and/or professional qualifications preferred but not required
  • Demonstrate understanding of customer journey and needs with the ability to problem solve within the business and compliance context
  • Experiences in controls / compliance / audit methodologies and preferably in consumer banking products, especially Credit Cards
  • Strong business acumen, need to understand the business model and ability to understand the potential impact of change
  • Strong analytical / problem solving / communication skills
