Strategic Intent

Citibank is seeking a Advice Technical Specialist to provide subject matter expertise for advice proposition and deliver remarkable financial advice experience for our client. The purpose of the role is to provide expert legislative and strategic technical advice support to key internal stakeholders, advice businesses and front line sales staff.

This role will be tasked with working with the Head of Advice to formulate and deliver on the Advice strategy in Australia.This strategy will involve the build out of partnerships both internally and externally to deliver on an end to end advice proposition for Citi Australia.The role will be responsible to provide expert legislative and strategic technical advice support to key internal stakeholders, Relationship Managers, Citigold Executives and Wealth Specialist.

This role could suit financial advisers with a strong technical background who are looking for a change

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that the advice delivery process is efficient and effective for both Personal advice and General advice
  • Work with key stakeholders including product management, investment specialists and Wealth Management network to provide relevant input into wealth offering
  • Assist in building out advice documentation for personal and general advice process
  • Be abreast with the latest advisory tools and technology
  • Ensure that the Wealth and Insurance Specialists are equipped with the right skill set and are abreast with the latest regulatory environment in which they operates
  • Work with Advice team and stakeholders to coach frontline staff to effectively identify potential client needs and advice requirements
  • Participate in joint telephone calls and client appointments with Wealth Management staff and Wealth Specialists to provide feedback and coaching
  • Build a strong, collaborative working relationship with key internal stakeholders such as Area Managers, Citigold Executives, Relationship Managers Mortgage Specialists, Product teams, Region, and Compliance and Legal
  • Ensure that the advice delivery process is efficient and effective



Qualifications


To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/experience:
  • Degree qualified
  • Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning is essential
  • RG 146 qualified
  • CFP desirable
  • Post graduate studies in finance related discipline desirable
  • Minimum 8 years’ financial services industry experience
  • Experience in Parra planning and process improvement in complex advice environment
  • Good understanding of industry legislative and compliance regime around advice in the local Australian market is essential
  • Proven relationship management and coaching skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Highly customer focused
  • Highly numerate
  • Highly motivated and result driven
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Strong strategic thinking ability
  • Demonstrate drive and commitment to delivery innovative solutions
  • High level of interpersonal, problem solving and influencing skills
  • Must be able to communicate technical or complex concepts to broader audience
  • Ability to work with colleagues in order to influence behaviour and results
  • Must be able to work autonomously and operate cohesively in a team environment
