Portfolio Associate – Portfolio Solutions

Citi Investment Management (CIM) is a group within Citi Private Bank (CPB) that manages assets on a discretionary basis for HNW and UHNW clients.  With approximately $100 billion in assets under management globally, CIM manages a broad suite of investment strategies within single and multi-asset class products.  CIM is currently seeking a portfolio associate for its Portfolio Solutions team.  

Position Responsibilities:

• Support Portfolio Managers (PM) in understanding client investment objectives, portfolio construction, and portfolio execution
• Ensure client portfolios are being managed consistently according to guidelines, track account changes and movements and coordinate timely investment for new portfolios and liquidation for closed accounts
• Prepare trade orders for portfolios and work in conjunction with PMs and traders to ensure trades are executed
• Assist with rebalancing and model updates across multiple account types
• Ensure overdrafts are monitored and returns for cash are maximized.  Monitor cash and portfolio additions and withdrawals
• Act as an intermediary between PMs and operations on administrative matters (i.e. Account opening / closing assistance, money and security transfers, banking activities, etc.)
• Assist with client presentations, proposals and account reviews.

Position Requirements:

• 5-7 Years of experience in a role supporting an asset management business
• Knowledge of financial markets
• Knowledge of asset allocation techniques and implementation tools such as investment strategy, investment process, performance and structure.
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in finance, accounting, business or related field
• CFA Level 2 or 3 candidate preferred
• Effective relationship management skills with strong client focus
• Highly motivated self-starter, results-driven and teamwork oriented
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
