AVP, Product Specialist

The Product Specialist is an intermediate level position responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team.The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on mutual funds e.g. 40Act and/or UCITS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, operations, legal, compliance and sales to deliver global wealth management solutions in fund format for Citi clients
• Act as a liaison between Bankers/Financial Advisors and third party investment managers to address product related inquiries
• Participate in all phases of the product launch process from conception to ongoing post-launch support
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the documents and resources used to support Citi’s investments platform
• Monitor performance of service providers to the Funds, monitoring adherence to contractual key performance indicators to identify performance trends, opportunities, and risks
• Partner with Citi’s service providers to deliver enhancements to the technology and operational processes supporting our wealth management capabilities
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of with the registration and launch of mutual funds/UCITS as part of a mutual fund company is preferred
• Experience with fee based advisory programs would be beneficial
• Ability to both act independently and work well in multi-stakeholder teams to lead complex projects and drive initiatives to completion
• Proactive with a high level of attention to detail; quick learner who can adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - i.e. able to deliver messages clearly and succinctly and tailor approach depending on target audience
• Previous project management experience is a plus
• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
