The Wealth Planning Associate position is a Wealth Planner support role driving the onboarding and establishment of new trust structures and accounts.


  • Work with Wealth Planners to onboard trust accounts and agency accounts, as well as manage insurance opportunities. This involves the end-to-end process of gathering all necessary approvals and documentation, as well as onboarding the structure to the Citi Trust platform.
  • Evaluate new fiduciary structures to ensure it is in line with Citi Trust policies
  • Follow-up on all phases of complex sales from initial sales pitch until closing.
  • Coordinate with Trust Centers and various internal partners throughout the review and onboarding process
  • Appropriately provide input when business decisions are made, by demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation, its clients and assets, driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Citi Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues
  • Attend internal and external meetings on structures that are being onboarded
  • Assist with pipeline reporting to management and finance
  • Assist with various projects as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2-4 years of experience in the financial or trust industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service and solutions orientation
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources
  • Contribute to the improvement of processes and work-flow for the CitiTrust business
  • Ability to multi-task and work with deadlines
  • Focus on teamwork and collaboration


Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
