The Operations Accounting Senior Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to drive cash breaks resolution and support activities in coordination with the Core Operations team(s). The overall objective of this role is to drive the seamless delivery of Operations Accounting reconcilements, ledger postings and investigations. This is a Hybrid position.


  • Manage a team of 7 individuals for performance, make recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions and maintain appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs, manage team to meet goals within the budget
  • Manages the control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data, including by preparing and recording financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes, updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing of consolidated financial statements, in accordance with management reporting requirements, for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes.
  • Manages daily BAU reconcilements, reporting and ledger postings for accuracy and timeliness
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations, identify and analyze escalated problems and provide guidance to team members for resolution
  • Negotiate solutions and acts as a liaison with internal and external partners, as necessary
  • Responsible for maintaining cash breaks within the required standards
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed, contribute to defining standards
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure timely, accurate, cost effective initiatives and efficiencies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy.
  • Adherence to all policies and regulatory requirements implementing change management when necessary
  • Adhoc project work to support the Core Operations strategic path
  • Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


  • 2+ years of Operations Accounting process experience related to ledger reconcilement
  • Knowledge of full suite and ReconFrontier preferred
  • In-depth knowledge Local and US GAAP; Familiarity with finance functions and systems
  • Management experience of team of professionals as well as familiarity with banking products and reporting requirements as well as legal vehicle governance and control.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of Management and units within Citi
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work with Internal Auditors for deliverables and process presentations


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
