As the business embarks on a comprehensive, multi-year transformation program, it is necessary and timely to evolve and grow the delivery management and governance processes and resources which will be relied upon to mitigate the delivery risk inherent in this franchise-critical investment.

The APAC IBR Transformation Lead will be responsible for leading / coordinating key programs and projects, developing program management plans, and delivering robust governance and reporting frameworks to oversee the execution and completion of the various work streams of the TTS Regulatory Remediation and Transformation Program Book of Work. This includes leading, planning, coordinating, tracking, managing, and communicating across APAC geographies, products, functions, and partner organizations across Citi. Expertise in program management and communication skills are required to guide, influence, and assist others to meet strict timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional responsibility across APAC in support of TTS APAC COO to lead transformation agenda, including coordination of key programs/ projects across APAC countries and in alignment with ICG/ global Transformation office.
  • Responsible for close collaboration with multiple countries and products globally, including planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs, communicating project progress and deviations to key stakeholders, and running working groups as appropriate.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management, including building relationships with key senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the project/ program, partnering with multi-product and multi-geography teams across TTS, ICG, ICRM, Risk, ACRM, ORM, EIO&T, PMO and other areas to escalate and manage critical issues to resolution and building relationships with key internal stakeholders to move projects/ program forward while highlighting risks and escalating issues.
  • Monitor and report project status on a regular basis, extracting the key details and business relevance to make the updates meaningful for a wide range of audience including senior executives.
  • Closely collaborate with in-country and regional Product/ Business Executives and In-Business Risk Managers to provide robust Program Management and provide guidance and structure for working groups where required.
  • Develop and implement processes to promote governance, consistency and standardization, drive adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, controls and standards for program delivery and leverage across the program.
  • Provide regular status reporting and communicate next steps, dependencies, etc and document decisions/ changes to the Program in the form of ExCo updates, meeting minutes and formal communications.
  • Act as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Serve as lead program/ project manager for remediation initiatives, where required. 
  • Support key business management processes performed by the TTS Regulatory Transformation Program Office and partner with regional transformation offices as required.

Developmental Value:

  • The role is a key contributor to the strategic coordination and direction, and successful execution of the TTS remediation efforts.
  • The role is Regional in nature and will entail developing relationships and working with senior stakeholders across multiple countries, products, and control functions.
  • Engagement with TTS staff and functional partners across multiple countries at all levels of the organization.
  • Exposure across the TTS business, ICG and in various regional/ global forums.

Knowledge/ Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • PMI/ PMP desired.
  • Experience in the transaction banking industry, specifically with a focus on In-Business Risk.
  • 10+ years of related experience in program/ project management, process improvement, business risk & controls and compliance functions.

  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with senior leaders, regional and product managers, and partner areas.
  • Highly motivated, strong attention to detail, team oriented, organized.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and be an advanced user of MS PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Project.
