The core objective of the Regional Sales & Distribution Analytics Team is to enable and improve Relationship Manager (RM) performance by leveraging data, technology, platforms, and processes.  Reporting into the overall Data and Analytics organisation, this team works closely with key stakeholders in region & markets across sales & distribution, digital & technology to ensure a seamless & best-in-class experience for RM-client sales interactions and helps boost sales outcomes. Some key areas managed by the team include –

  • Monitoring and tracking business KPIs in relation to RM overall wealth sales, to identify opportunities and identify risks to plan
  • Working closely with business partners and technology teams to devise analytical solutions to identify and capitalize on the sales and distribution opportunities by -
  • Identifying right target clients / leads for the front-line sales team / relationship managers through arbitration and prioritization
  • Mapping right context / talking points to a client depending on client profile and the market movements
  • Tracking and monitoring RM’s efficiency and productivity metrics
  • Supporting the integration of data feeds and analytics into Citi Technology’s in-house Sales CRM solution - One Citi Platform - designed for the front-line sales team.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Sales & Distribution, Products, Segments, and Campaign teams to develop and assess long-term analytical solutions including segmentation, scoring, modelling and advanced analytics techniques to drive broader scorecard metrics.
  • Create the Sales & Distribution Analytics Book of Work in partnership with the Regional Sales & Distribution team. Provide thought leadership to conceptualize and identify data use-cases to drive RM productivity improvements and overall RM driven revenue.
  • Enable monitoring, tracking, and reporting of RM productivity and performance trends and KPIs to drive efficiency and co-own business outcomes
  • Engage in regular campaign analysis and optimization, including day-to-day Lead Arbitration Strategy in close collaboration with business partners including Sales & Distribution leads, Product specialist, Data Analytics leads, Data Engineering, Technology, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Drive analytical thought leadership around identification and implementation of future-state enhancements to broader Lead Management strategy for the front-line sales team.
  • Own the data agenda for the Citi Technology’s One Citi Platform interface designed for the front-line sales team. This includes and is not limited to, leading conversations and technology grooming discussion and driving alignment of data definitions, new data element ingestions, building data cubes, building logics, identifying sources, validating data across various sources etc. This also includes driving the platform adoption by leveraging click stream analytics to improve platform UI/UX.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of the initiatives in liaison with country and regional teams including delivery partners in the tech, to identify the best platforms and tools to deploy the modelling solutions.
  • Communicate recommendations and performance trends with key stakeholders, senior management and external regulators and work effectively in a global and regionally matrixed environment
  • Lead a team of onshore/ offshore high skilled resources. Ensure high staff morale; Be responsible for coaching, developing, and empowering staff to achieve superior results all aspects of the job. Champion the use of sophisticated statistical techniques to develop models, customer segmentation schemes, profiles, and other analytically based tools in day-to-day operations.
  • Identify external partners in the Fintech space and lead sophisticated analytical projects (e.g., proof-of-concept with external vendors for scoring, optimization solutions, etc.)
  • Identify and utilize data from both traditional and unconventional internal sources to enhance solution quality in accordance with model governance policy and legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure adherence to Citi Model Governance standards; comply with all policies, legal/regulatory requirements in the model management processes

Knowledge/Experience/Technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or operations research.  Post-graduate degree strongly preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience in financial services and experience in leading analytical teams is required
  • Prior experience in analytics for wealth, retail bank, sales & distribution is preferred
  • Understanding of traditional analytical methods such as regression, decision trees, scoring etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of segmentation strategies using scores and /or AI/ML techniques.
  • Proven track record of success, with particular emphasis on leading change

  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong written/verbal communications skills. Ability to storyboard analytical findings and recommendations to a business audience is critical
  • Possess outstanding people leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders; create a strong network of relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, and decision makers.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results and to facilitate the overall growth of the franchise.
