The Business Analytics Grp Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Excellent commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of sales and service from product to customer
  • Assess implementation options and build sponsorship for investment and transformation
  • Ensure support for key initiatives in wealth and digital
  • Work closely with technology to develop and deliver new platforms
  • Ensure effective integration with data, models and messaging platforms to achieve agile delivery of new use-cases
  • Continuously improve strategy, talent, processes and tools to deliver world-class capability
  • Build partnerships with teams in region and countries to develop, align and drive delivery
  • Appropriately assess and manage risk and apply sound ethical judgment

Qualifications

  • 10 years’ experience of using data to drive customer engagement
  • Degree in information technology or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated skills in the big data ecosystem: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NoSQL etc.
  • Demonstrated skills in digital interaction and marketing
  • Ability to develop and deliver strategic solutions – working in a complex world and making it simple
  • Ability to develop and communicate compelling narratives to non-technical audiences
  • Strong networking and communication skills to guide, influence and convince business leaders, colleagues and partners

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
