Business Architecture & Transformation Sr. Lead Analyst

The Senior Lead Architect will work with colleagues in business and technology groups to help shape, define and implement capabilities that meet business objectives in the context of an agreed architecture.  The role is focused on driving delivery and as such, will suit hands-on delivery-focused professionals regardless of background in business, global functions or technology

The architect’s responsibilities will include work in one or more of the following areas:

  • Development and maintenance of the Target Architecture
    • Develop process driven business, data and application architecture for the bank
    • Publish and communicate the latest Architecture
    • Apply ongoing updates to the Architecture to keep it current with changing business and economic environments, and regulatory frameworks 
    • Map Capabilities to Data and Current State to Target State
  • Providing Architecture support for Strategic Initiatives
    • Engage with strategic initiatives to help scope and shape those initiatives to ensure the outcomes are aligned to the architecture, including formulating detailed boundaries, connections, and deployments for the capabilities
    • Apply the structured business architecture approach and methodology to those initiatives
  • Performing Architectural Reviews
    • Formal reviews of strategic processes and to ensure capabilities meet requirements and are consistent with the architecture and guiding principles
    • Recognize and Identify key data and functional dependencies and cross silo redundancies
  • Engaging in Technology Spend Review & Prioritization
    • To ensure that our strategic investments, projects, efforts are directed and guided by the common architectural vision

General Activities:

  • Partner with global process owners, program/project teams and functional groups (Front-office, Risk, Finance, Technology, Operations, Global Program Management Office (GPMO), to deliver objectives in compliance with Citi policies and standards
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including program sponsors and program leads
  • Execute against multiple contending priorities simultaneously

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience, in the financial services industry is required,
  • Experience in one or more areas in banking including Operations, Finance and Risk
  • Process reengineering and process mapping experience preferred, along with a proven track record of successfully leading complex and transformative projects.
  • Good understanding of data and data concepts including data standards, data quality and data models.
  • Exemplary written and oral skills required, ability to synthesize key messages and “storytell”
  • Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management preferred.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" without losing attention to detail. 
  • Good influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to "roll up sleeves".
  • Need for ‘intellectual curiosity’, critical thinking skills and ability to challenge ‘group think’.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not essential as demonstrable delivery skills are the most critical qualification for these roles.
  • The candidate must be able to work with teams as well as independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This role requires multi-tasking, organization and the ability to quickly acquire and comprehend the required knowledge.
