Responsibilities
Citi Global Wealth Asia Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is primarily responsible to provide support to the regional senior management in providing strategic insights, driving the bank’s performance management process, and in identifying key opportunities and risks relevant to the firm’s financial performance. Within this framework, the FP&A function plays an integral role in driving the capital planning/CCAR process and related activities (Resolution Planning and Recovery Planning) across the bank.
As Citi embarks on a multi-year journey to transform our forward-looking activities, the Forecasting Transformation team was established within the broader Citi Global Wealth Asia FP&A team to help drive these critical transformation efforts – including enhancing and standardizing our forecasting methodologies, and streamlining and implementing a well governed forward looking/forecasting process.
The role reports directly to the Forecasting Transformation Lead, and require interaction with various stakeholders across the bank, including senior stakeholders across business and functional areas. We are looking for candidates with proven track record in execution capabilities and who possess in-depth understanding of the Retail / Wealth Management / Consumer business (including how key business and customer metrics drive business dynamics). Ideal candidates should also have keen interest in transformation activities, in addition to having a prior hands-on experience participating in forecasting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support team lead in delivering on key milestones related to our multi-year Planning/Forecasting transformation horizon. These milestones, in particular, are the successful implementation of:
(1) New/enhanced forecasting methodologies across various geographies within Citi Global Wealth Asia,
(2) A streamlined, aligned (capital and business planning process), and well governed process
To achieve the above objectives, the analyst is also expected to play active role in:
Representing Citi Global Wealth Asia FP&A team as both the main contact point and as Subject Matter Experts (SME) in designing new forecasting methodologies / improving the existing model constructs. The analyst is expected to work in close partnership with various other teams including the central modelling team, and various other SMEs in both regional product/finance and country product/finance
Developing in-depth understanding Citi forecasting system and data flows to be able to convert the overall vision into milestone driven execution Plan, balancing local country needs and broader firm level priorities
Building close partnership with various key stakeholders, including country FP&A teams, regional products and FP&A partners, Risk (including Model Risk Management), and global/sector FP&A teams
Coordinating across Citi Global Wealth Asia A on Forecasting Transformation process, timelines and requirements
Identifying and tracking key performance metrics for transparency and accountability. Define and escalate key Transformation execution risks and mitigating actions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
At least 10 years of relevant FP&A experience, preferably in areas related to Retail / Wealth Management / Consumer Banking or relevant industry
Strong analytical skills and attention to details
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and interpersonal skills), and to influence others
Proven track record in delivering effectively under time pressure and within ambiguous situation is a must
Self-starter with ability to work independently across different levels of the organization, including with senior management
Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
A professional who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to carry out their work
