Client Management Professional for Rates and Currencies (R&C)
The APAC Investor Client Management team is looking to hire a client/sales strategy professional into the team to cover Citi’s Pan Asia Client Management for Rates and Currencies (R&C). The group is responsible for setting and executing Citi’s investor client strategy in the region. The hire will work with a range of sales, trading & management stakeholders across asset classes to drive the oversight and management of the R&C Client Management in APAC and coordinate with counterparts in other regions. The team reports locally into the APAC Head of Financial Institutions Sales and Solutions (FISS) and into the Global COO for Markets Sales in New York.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the APAC Head of FISS and R&C in developing and executing the franchise wide client strategy in APAC. Involving identifying new trends and business responses, designing, and implementing franchise-wide initiatives, participating in management committees/business reviews and doing deep dives into specific opportunities.
- Performs frequent analysis to understand changes in client revenue and wallet share and to identify new revenue opportunities for the business.
- Develop a 360-degree view of clients across profitability, capital, credit risk, among other dimensions, to best support the client strategy and action plans in the region.
- Work closely with the Head of Macro Sales and the Heads of Rates & FX businesses to set the strategy for the regional business.
- Develops partnerships with R&C sales leadership and understand the drivers and challenges of their specific business lines.
- Develops plans to execute global and regional strategies and tracks metrics to measure impact.
- Focuses closely on resource optimization within the R&C business (balance sheet, senior sales/trading intensity, coverage allocation).
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as ICM, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Finance, etc. to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
- Partner with internal groups such as ICG Operations & Technology, etc. to work to improve data integrity across the Sales organization.
- Actively participate in the development and adoption of global tech projects in APAC, further efficiencies in Sales Technology.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in ICG, supporting Institutional clients across different asset classes, with deep analytical and relationship skills, background in strategy development, business management, client management or the front office. The role will be based in Singapore reporting to the APAC Head of Client Management.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in operational control, change management and customer interaction
- Demonstrated ability to be process oriented
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master's degree preferred
Knowledge/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience working in Markets
- Knowledge of industry developments with competitors, clients, market structure, regulation
- Background in management consulting, business development, client management or the front office
Skills:
- Strategic – experience of working with seniors and advising on strategic courses of action (acting as an owner).
- Analytical– ability to work with large amounts of data and derive conclusions whilst highlighting limitations. Proficient with working in Excel & VBA, ability to transform data into actionable insights with Tableau, develop and deliver interactive guided analytics/ dashboards with QlikView.
- Project management – ability to design, track and execute a project.
- Presentation – ability to frame and communicate findings powerfully using graphs and written communication.

- Team player – work alongside existing team members, help share best practices & develop each other, work collaboratively with a wide range of partners outside team.
