The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Listed Derivatives Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in China Exchange Traded Derivatives Markets and possess detailed knowledge of Clearing products across all aspects of the trade lifecycle from commodity to finance futures and options.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearing Operations: Manage clearing processes, including trade capture/trade load, margins, CCPs/client money/bank reconciliations/validation, cash or non-cash collateral/expiry/delivery/EFP/ management and settlement.
  • System Expertise: Utilize key industry systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including traders, CCPs, and clients, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze operational reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify and resolve clearing/settlement issues, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership.
  • Analyze moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services
  • Monitor and suggest solutions to manual touch point to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements
  • Escalate issues to manager in the first place and can collaborate with relevant teams on solution
  • Design and analyze moderately complex reports, in coordination with standards set by direct leadership
  • Assist with control activities, and the launch of new products and services
  • Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • China Futures License
  • 3 years above relevant experience
  • Fundamental understanding of listed futures derivatives products, accounting and regulatory policies
  • Ability of prioritization
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance
