VP, Data Science Analyst (Hybrid)
Citi Retail Services Partner Delivery (RSPD) is in need of a VP, Data Science Analyst who can gather and interpret business requirements, analyze and draw data insights and provide specifications to serve the data needs for business and regulatory purposes.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely with business users across Risk, Marketing, Operations, Decision Management, Finance and Technology functions to elicit, analyze and document clear business requirements.
Interacts, communicates effectively, and builds strong working relationship on an ongoing basis with business and technology partners.
Facilitate and document As Is/To Be process flows and gap analysis of business process; research and map input sources and fields, source to target mapping; build test strategy and plans; plan, coordinate and execute validation to ensure solution delivered meets the business needs.
Extensive experience in data mapping which could be straight through or derived and to perform validation of what was mapped is accurate to source.
Develop a good understanding of organizations’ s data and processes.
Conduct rigorous and detail data analysis and research to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Develop and recommend forwarding thinking solution designs for reporting deliverables and projects.
Provide thought leadership to Partner teams on data matters including data management, data lineage, data analytics and data quality.
Ensure that business intelligence capabilities are developed and maintained to maximize the benefit of data assets.
Perform ad-hoc analysis to provide analytical information to enable business decision making process.
Comfortable working on different data environments like SAS, Hadoop/Big Data, Unix and using SQL, different analytical tools to draw data insights.
Adherence of deliverables to project plans and deadlines.
Ability to function as a team member and work with many different stakeholders at all levels with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of data analytical experience
Knowledge of consumer financial services regulatory environment.
Knowledge of Credit card industry and consumer finance is a significant plus.
Demonstrated business acumen.
Have a technical background and has worked as a programmer in the past.
Expert in managing and interpreting large (in millions) amount of data with strong numerical and analytical skills.
Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint), Jira, SharePoint and HP QC etc.
Excellent oral and written commercial communications skills demonstrated impact in the following areas:

Strong project management skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree required. Degree in Computer science or Engineering discipline is a plus.
Position sits in Schaumburg IL only. No relocation will be offered and position is hybrid only. No 100% remote work arrangement is available for this position.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
