The Relationship Sales team is part of the Sales Organization within Prime Finance.  The Relationship Sales team is responsible for managing existing client relationships which includes ensuring client satisfaction within established service level parameters and growing revenue on a profitable basis. Members of the Relationship Sales team must have a deep understanding of the clients they cover as well as track changes in clients’ behavior and escalate when appropriate.

The role encompasses the following main components; ensuring client satisfaction, organic growth, identifying cross selling, and ensuring that Citi’s clients are getting the most out of the Prime product offering.  The Relationship Sales team is also responsible for driving the overall efficiency / profitability of client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client profitability, day-to-day management and client satisfaction
  • Perform regular client reviews to gauge overall client satisfaction and coordinate responses to client concerns
  • Drive continuous enhancement of Citi products and services and partner with support groups and client to ensure Citi is a top 3 provider
  • Drive organic growth through identification and execution of cross-selling opportunities
  • Lead strong governance and controls
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you
  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive prior experience of equity financing (both cash and synthetic) is essential
  • A good cross product knowledge covering, equities, fixed income, FX and swaps. 
  • A strong understanding of the risk and control environment impacting our business.
  • An understanding of the treasury functions and factors that contribute / or hinder client profitability.
  • A good understanding of global markets, including market regulations, investment limitations and operational/settlement procedures.
  • A good understanding of hedge fund strategies including; equity long/short, risk arbitrage, convertible arbitrage, event-driven, global macro, merger arbitrage and distressed.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to handle external meetings and discussions with clients.
  • Attention to detail and the commitment to deliver an excellent service to a demanding global client base.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills, ability to proactively own the problem by recommending and/or implementing solutions.
  • Strong intellectual grasp of the industry, with the ability to anticipate organizational response to future changes in line with the demands of the business and client base.
  • The ability to multi task and constantly assess and change priorities in line with the demands of the business and Client base.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • S7 and S63 Required
