The Credit Portfolio Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for conducting credit reviews, credit approval and monitoring the portfolio to identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to manage Citi's portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve issues and recommend solutions to moderate problems
  • Integrate specialty area knowledge with an understanding of industry standards and practices and how teams collaborate to accomplish goals of the sub-function/ job family
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques and improvement of processes and work-flows by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge and integrating subject matter and industry expertise within Risk Management
  • Develop recommendations to adjust credit policies by analyzing credit and financial performance and utilizing statistical scoring, segmentation, and regression and simulation techniques
  • Utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing
  • Research customer and/or management queries using risk systems and data and support ad-hoc risk policy analyses and projects as required
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Leads Risk Projects such as automation and standardization of regulatory reports and data (BASEL/CCAR/ Loss Mitigation/Modelling Data) with close collaboration with other functions from Global Technology, Regional Risk, Franchise Risk Architecture and Credit Operations.
  • Provide support on scorecard management such as generating regular model performance tracking reports and conducting model reviews as required by Model Risk Management (MRM)

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity on SAS programming and data management is desirable
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Proven strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills
  • Proven ability to remain organized while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with and confidently present  to Senior Management is an advantage
  • Experience on managing and validating loss forecasting models (CCAR/CECL) is preferred
  • Experience on modeling development is an advantage

Education:

  • Graduate of Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related course/degree is preferred
