The project manager is an individual contributor role with an aim to provide end to end project management activities for one or more projects and/or programs. Project manager serves as liaison between business and various other internal teams to ensure delivery of the projects on time, within budget and to agreed specifications. An ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the projects following project planning, issue/risk identification, scope and book of work management , delivery estimation, stakeholder management and project documentation activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with the designated business owners to evaluate the business requirements and formulate project plans
  • Responsible for creating and managing the project Book of Work with help of business sponsors, define risk, priorities and estimate the delivery schedules
  • Create and manage project plans, resource planning to execute project activities
  • Ensure adherence to project management governance framework , including project tracking procedures , quality assurance procedures and reporting
  • Facilitate project kick off meetings, daily/weekly stand up and ensure timely delivery of agreed deliverables
  • Takes responsibility to provide periodic updates, assign accountability for project deliverables and ensure periodic follow up to ensure required updates, stakeholders buy ins are timely secured
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within business units to establish priorities, gather required details and ensure facilitation to resolve project blockers/impediments on time
  • Ensure creation and management of project artifacts in project management tool
  • Responsible to track project financials, weekly and monthly accomplishments, business benefits
  • Participate and chair various meetings to monitor, track and appraise project progress to business and technology partners
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • You have at least 8 to 13 years of experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing projects in banking and financial service industry.
  • Experience in handling automation, system enhancements, integration and migration are preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets, basic Investment banking concepts , banking products and asset classes is desired
  • Familiar with Agile and scrum framework
  • Good understanding of software development life cycles and project management life cycle in Information Technology industry
  • Familiar with Project management tools – JIRA, Confluence, MS Project
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Power point and MS Word
  • Able to comprehend the business requirements with help of available data, tools, and techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to drive the meetings with stakeholders and facilitate productive conversations
  • A quick learner with an ability to grasp the concepts, understand the details
  • Strong collaboration skills with ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Good persuasive and negotiation skills to drive difficult conversations and ability to guide and provide directions to stakeholders
  • Ability to independently manage the project activities with minimum to no supervision and assistance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Project management accreditations (PMP, Prince 2, CSM) preferred however not mandatory
