Based in Prague, the key objective of this role is to drive the growth of Trade revenues for Citi Commercial Banks (CCB) clients headquartered in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania. CCB partners with emerging corporate (200 mil. Kč to 2 bil. Kč in sales) and mid-market (up to 50 bil. Kč). Key goal of CCB Trade Sales Transactor position is identifying new revenue streams and flows, pro-active client acquisition and deepen wallet penetration. Through those activities you’ll achieve an annual growth rate in Trade revenue for CEE CCB business. This is an individual contributor role that is expected to deliver fast sustainable growth with the ability to manage client and internal demands.

Role Profile:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proactively work with CCB CEE RMs to drive business growth, owning trade deals from origination to execution. Being a point of contact for trade matters to CEE clients.
  • Build a deal pipeline in partnership with the RM team and Product teams and ensure conversion of the deals. Regular tracking of deal pipeline and review of implementation and revenue realization.
  • Understanding of credit risk associated with Trade transaction structures; act as an advisor for Relationship Managers and partner for Credit Analysts in structuring Trade transactions and during credit approval process.
  • Identify client and industry segments with potential Trade opportunities and structure product solutions specific to the client/industry segment.
  • Foster productive working relationships with partners across regional/global teams, to build client-centric Trade solutions based on clients’ needs.
  • Lead initiatives, including events, that help to deepen client relationships and strengthen Citi brand as an industry thought leader.
  • Adopt a risk-based approach balancing risk and returns of Trade products to ensure a sustainable and long-term growth.

  • Deep understanding of full suite of Trade product propositions, business drivers, policies, customer needs and market trends.
  • Be independent, pro-active and results-driven, enjoy solution-based sales and client interaction.
  • Have great analytical skills and be even better in communicating your complex ideas in simple and understandable way.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and vision for future planning and growth.
  • Be willing to learn and open-minded to evaluate various alternative solutions to customer needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations, market practices and bank operations.
