Responsibilities
We are looking for a strong Lead Software Engineer to join Citi’s Infinity/DocuService (AI/ML in-house platform) team that focuses on document digitization, information extraction, and classification. The Infinity team and product automate the process of extracting information from documents, making it possible for more people from IT to business to process more documents for transactions safer, and faster
Job description:
What you will be doing:
- Contribute to the design, development, test, and operational excellence of the Infinity platform layer and libraries supporting it
- Take ownership of the end to end quality of the code deployed to production
- Work with a multi-culture and multi-background group of Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientist, and front end developers to tackle tough design, product, and engineering problems
- Translate business requirements into technical development plans for execution
Who you are:
- You have around 7 years of professional experience building commercial software products. Our product uses Python; you have professional experience with these or similar languages
- You take initiative and can turn ideas into real features
- You enjoy discussing use cases & user flows with product managers, business analyst, and contributing ideas to those discussions
- You have experience with containerization, our team uses Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes; you have professional experience with these or similar technologies
- You have experience in data life cycle with web applications, our team uses Flask, MongoDB, PostgresSQL; you have professional experience with these or similar technologies
- You have experience with data pipelining, our team uses Apache Airflow, you have professional experience with this or similar technologies (i.e. KubeFlow)
- You have experience building or contributing to open or inner source libraries. Our team uses Python, you have professional experience building enterprise libraries (open source contributions are a big bonus)
- You have experience building CI/CD pipelines, our team uses Jenkins, Git, and SonarQube, you have experience with these or similar technologies
Bonus qualifications (nor required):
- You have experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, or you have experience working in the AI/Machine Learning domain
