Underwriting quality assurance is an important frontline unit activity, responsible for identifying, managing and monitoring the quality of credit risk originated thru the CCB’s global lending platform. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professionalto support the Quality Assurance Group through the execution of sample reviews of core deliverables and activities, and the associated summary decks and escalation protocols for root cause remediation.  

The individual will be part of the CLM organization and will report to the Global Head of Risk Analysis Quality Assurance.  This role will be based in either New York City, Irving or Dallas, TX. 

Key responsibilities include:

·Executing on a timely and best-in-class manner on all quality assurance protocols, for all of CLM’s core deliverables and activities. That includes, but is not limited, to:

oProviding a thorough review of the sampled credit analysis packages to ensure compliance with QA standards, credit policy, procedures, and content conforms to sound underwriting practices, as set forth in the regulatory standards

oReviewing quality and process consistency on any other credit analysis activities performed by CLM

·Constant communication with the Head of Quality Assurance, supporting the conclusion of monthly verifications and support decks, especially the identification of root causes and issue remediation

·Constant interaction with CLM Team Leads and Credit Officers as part of the quality assurance process, while maintaining an independent view of the quality of each produced deliverables

·Ensure ongoing and timely feedback and coaching to CCB staff to sustain a strong control culture and an unwavering commitment to excellence in execution

·Constant interaction with Risk during PLR and Peer Review function to ensure audit feedback is adequate communicated and actioned


·Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis, CCB credit policies and the CCB’s credit program

·Advanced understanding of commercial risk management principles

·Strong understanding of OCC regulatory policies and guidelines, including Heightened Expectations, and the evolving regulatory guidance in this space

·Demonstrable administration experience, preferably on credit related functions and on the quality assurance space

·Experience and background in credit approval and/or credit analysis, to ensure that quality assurance observations and proposed solutions resonate with the core underlying activities

·Fully conversant in administrative policy matters including Managers Control Assessment / CCB and Citi Policies and procedures

·Ability to work at senior levels and build constructive and effective relationships with peers and other controls functions (HR, Finance, Fundamental Credit Review, and Internal Audit)


·Attention to detail is a critical skill for this role

·Advanced understanding of commercial risk management principles

·Practical knowledge of the CitiRisk Commercial credit platform

·Proven ability to execute multiple work streams to tight deadlines

·Strong business interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); capable of professional discussions with senior level, internal and external stakeholders, for the geographies in which the CCB operates

·Results driven, with a strong organizational and strategic planning focus; able to complete assignments in a timely manner

·Self-directed – listens critically the first time in order to execute immediately

·Unwavering enthusiasm with a commitment to excellence, tenacity, attention to detail and integrity

·Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues

·Advanced Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


·BA/BS or higher degree in Business (MBA), Finance or any other related subject

·At least 5 years of relevant financial services experiences, with a strong preference for commercial credit / underwriting experience
