VP, Consumer Retention Marketing

The U.S. Consumer Bank organization delivers a wide array of banking, payments, lending and investment services to individual consumers and small businesses.   Our products and services cover a wide range of client banking needs including credit cards, basic banking, mortgages and investment advisory services.

The Vice President, Consumer Retention Marketing position is responsible for partnering cross-functionally to develop data driven strategies to retain At Risk Retail Bank customers and drive engagement to deliver on business goals. Key objectives will be deposit, account and customer retention. This role represents a unique opportunity for the individual to directly influence and develop new strategic approaches to shape the retention strategy across the Retail Bank organization and transform the customer experience along the way.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of retail bank marketing campaigns designed to retain deposit balances and accounts throughout the customer lifecycle. 
    • Support campaign strategy and testing new offer constructs/customer treatments
    • Lead end to end execution of marketing campaigns in partnership with internal/external creative teams/agencies
    • Develop marketing assets across various channels (Email, Online, Mobile, Direct Mail, Phone/Branch scripts, etc)
  • Partner with the Consumer Analytics organization to define segmentation and test strategies based on historical performance, predictive models and business goals
  • Partner with cross functional internal teams to ensure marketing campaigns are designed to meet business goals.
  • Apply critical thinking to identify and mitigate potential issues. Identify and manage issues to resolution
  • Ensure adherence to policies related to internal legal, compliance and creative reviews and approvals for marketing campaigns
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Adhere to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Marketing &/or Consulting, ideally with experience in retail bank/home lending/financial services industries.
  • 2-3 years Digital Marketing &/or Advertising experience across multiple channels, with knowledge of the creative development process and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, strategy and presentation development skills
  • Self-starter who can take initiative and lead projects from initiation to execution
  • Requires attention to detail, ability to work cross functionality in a large matrixed organization, advanced project management skills, and good problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at once
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent partner management – build strong relationships, frequent collaboration, clear communication and consistency in developing mutually-impactful strategies


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
