Quant Risk Libraries (QRL) creates computational infrastructure to ensure the bank’s lending portfolios have adequate capital during crisis.  Think of it as Mathematica for Financial Risk meets AWS. Our systems are responsible for calculating risk on some of the largest portfolios in Citi.

Our small engineering team (<10) is looking for a backend infrastructure engineer to take a leading role in development, scaling and deployment of our infrastructure.

Financial experience is not a requirement.

You will:

Design and build infrastructure APIs for grid computing, data storage and numerical computation. You will create frameworks for complex numerical computations along with work in some interesting work in compilers, automated parallelization and data warehouses. We work in Python along with NumPy/Pandas, Dask, NumExpr/Numba, ZeroMQ/Redis, MySQL, Clickhouse, etc all on Linux.

You have:

  • 3-5 years developing Python, C or C++ packages and API development

  • Strong grasp of computing fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OS, programming languages.

  • Fluency in Python/Pandas/Numpy and the standard tools of the craft.

  • Experience with web services and Flask/Django ecosystem a plus.

  • Bachelors in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related engineering discipline

  • Understanding of DevOps and building and maintaining service based infrastructure

Nice to have:

  • Experience with large scale scientific computing and algorithm development

  • Interest for enterprise platform engineering

  • product led teams

  • Experience contributing to Open-Source projects
