Background & Position Summary

Citi US Branded Cards is a market leader in the credit card industry. With a pre-eminent global brand and distribution, US Branded Cards maintains its leadership position by delivering industry-leading products, advanced services and payment systems that address clients’ evolving needs.

This position is part of the Lending Product team, within the larger US Branded Cards organization.  The On-Card Lending Product team is responsible for building and managing card lending products that best meet consumer needs related to borrowing, and delivering sustainable revenue growth for Citi.  This includes Balance Transfer, Flex Loan, Flex Pay, and Cross-Lending Capabilities.  As the lending space evolves and traditional bank players and FinTechs continue to innovate on their product offerings, Citi has committed to rapidly growing this part of the business.

As the VP, On-Card Lending Product Development, you will play a key role in driving the team’s vision of delivering innovative products to our customers, while driving business growth. In this role you will own the design, build, and implementation of new Lending products, features, and enhancements.  You will lead projects, and serve as a liaison, partnering with Technology, Digital, and other key stakeholders to define and write business requirements.  

This position is specifically for Flex Loan and Flex Pay Product Development.

What You’ll Do

·Obtain deep understanding of our On-Card Lending business, including customer needs and market trends, competitive environment, and the operations and experiences of our credit cards and On-Card Lending products

·Manage multiple product development and enhancement projects simultaneously through ideation, defining requirements, governance reviews and approvals, build, testing, and launch

·Create well-defined business requirements/user stories and test plans

·Work closely with Technology, Digital, and Operations partners to oversee the design and build phases of projects

·Deliver projects on time, within budget, with sufficient controls, and with high quality

·Monitor and report out status of the development work in progress

·Act as a key point of contact and subject matter expert for On-Card Lending products and enhancements, including the overall user experience

What We’re Looking For

·3+ years in new product development, product management, project management, or similar role in the consumer lending / financial services industry

·Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Management, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

·Working understanding of lending economics, customer needs and trends, and the competition

·Enthusiasm for exceptional digital products and services, and a customer-first mindset

·Ability to quickly understand complex topics, and communicate them to key stakeholders at both business and technical levels

·Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and creatively to complex issues

·Ability to partner with and lead a large cross-functional team to drive project results

·Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills to find, analyze, and distill data into actionable insights
