VP - Learning & Development Future of Work Practice Area Lead

Serving as a global center of expertise within Citi Learning, the Future of Work team develops solutions that help leaders and teams reimagine the way we work and learn. Current areas of focus include: Hybrid Working, Team Effectiveness, Role Transitions Support and Culture Change.   
Reporting to the Practice Area Manager for Future of Work, the VP -  Learning & Development Practice Area Lead will be program managing some of our key global learning initiatives, and look after ‘go to market strategies’, with a focus on supporting the embedding and execution of our solutions across the NAM region.

Responsibilities include:

  • Topic area expertise
    • Develop broad understanding of topics related to Collaboration and Innovation in Hybrid Work Settings, Team Effectiveness Practices, Culture Transformation, Career Transitions, and any other FoW Emerging Topics in order to support knowledge management in this space
    • Keep current to most utilized/requested products and solutions on these topics from teams across the NAM region

  • Stakeholder management and advisory
    • Engage with internal partners on a proactive basis to understand and advise on requirements around strengthening FoW Practice Area capabilities and culture shifts across Citi
    • Cultivate relationships with internal subject matter experts to partner, advise and consult on solution development
    • Work closely with colleagues in Citi Learning and other functional teams (e.g., Talent, Global Public Affairs) to ensure solutions are featured appropriately in campaigns, pathways and corresponding initiatives in related work streams
    • Build network of peers externally to inform perspective on Citi’s work in strengthening FoW Practice Area

  • Curation and management of solutions
    • Identify and document use cases of FoW Practice Area solutions from within the region
    • Maintain and review solutions for relevance and quality in an ongoing manner
    • Partner with Learning Implementation Services/Employee Experience Team in distributing resources regionally

  • Management of virtual channels and Communities of Practice
    • Work with LEAPS Practice Area Managers and Leads to create/maintain a content plan aligned to broader HR and Learning Calendar
    • Keep all our virtual channels current
    • Reply to and engage with current community members in a timely manner
    • Frequently navigate other spaces or groups and make linkages to FoW Practice Area content/conversations
    • Work with Learner Experience team to analyze core metrics, and continually find ways to connect FoW social engagement work across LEAPS, Learning, Diversity and Talent

  • Vendor management
    • Have clear view of vendor landscape and the potential solutions available; match internal stakeholder needs with appropriate partner
    • Work closely with procurement to recommend vendors and ensure vendor portal information is kept up-to-date

Qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have consulting experience at a performance improvement firm or in an HR advisory role in learning and development, talent management, diversity, organizational development or related fields
  • Demonstrated success at building credibility quickly at all levels of the organization, including senior executives
  • A successful track record in leading complex, multi-dimensional projects
  • Experience managing large scale campaigns within the organization
  • Experience with large, matrix and multinational organizations is preferred
  • Experience or exposure to innovation and collaboration practices
  • Ability to work in a continuously changing, ambiguous environment
  • Willing to shift work hours in order to have weekly team meetings that accommodate a global team

Skills and Competencies:

  • Stakeholder and relationship management in a complex organizational environment
  • Well-developed consulting and advisory skills, including needs analysis and strategic planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, marketing experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Values creativity and incorporates diverse perspectives in decision making

6-10 years of experience in Learning and Development

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
