Citi US Branded Cards is a market leader in the credit card industry. With a pre-eminent global brand and distribution, US Branded Cards maintains its leadership position by delivering industry-leading products, advanced services, and payment systems that address clients’ evolving needs.

This position is part of the Flex Product Management team, within the broader US Lending & US Cards organizations.  The Flex Product Management team is responsible for managing the Citi Flex Pay & Flex Loan products designed to meet evolving and growing consumer needs related to on-card installment lending and deliver sustainable revenue growth for Citi.  This team oversees the P&L for our existing product suite, as well as product feature backlogs, marketing strategy, digital experience & strategy, product positioning, servicing experience, and operational excellence for those products. 

The VP, Flex Pay Product Management is responsible for product acquisition strategy, performance, and developing product vision to position Flex Pay as a key competitor in the on-card installment lending and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) space. Key focus areas are product positioning, digital strategy, digital user experience, channel performance & analytics, marketing strategy, optimization of marketing campaigns, and best-in-class servicing. This includes partnering with Product Development, Digital (USCD), Marketing, Decision Management (USCA), Risk, and Operations. This individual will help shape and advance Citi’s Lending strategy for a rapidly growing product, informed by a deep understanding of product management, lending economics, our customers, and the competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the product manager and subject matter expert of the Citi Flex Pay product.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Flex Pay product including customer needs, product functionality, digital experiences, digital funnel performance & analytics, marketing strategy, servicing, competitive monitoring, and product economics.
  • Lead optimization efforts for Flex Pay, including initiatives to expand the marketing eligible population, as well as identify & implement opportunities to improve product conversion rates, customer experience, NPS, etc.
  • Support the development of Flex Pay product enhancements from ideation to launch and ensure seamless transition of ownership from Product Development partners.
  • Manage ongoing digital testing programs to support Flex Pay user experience and identify growth opportunities.
  • Act as primary point of contact for Flex Pay acquisition channel partners (e.g. Marketing, Digital), Product Development, Servicing, etc; Partner, influence, and help coordinate efforts to grow Flex Pay across channels.

Candidate Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management, product development, or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Enthusiasm for exceptional digital products & services, and a customer first mindset
  • Ability to communicate complex topics to key stakeholders at both business and technical levels
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills to be able to respond quickly and creatively to complex issues
  • Ability to analyze channel performance and enrollment data for Lending Products, identify trends, and help formulate solutions to address any gaps in performance
  • Ability to build strong relationships and partner with, influence, and/or lead cross functional teams to drive results
  • Strong will-to-win, intellectual curiosity, drive to do what it takes to meet deadlines with a "can do" attitude
