The Global Consumer Bank (GCB) Controllers CCAR Workstream Lead will primarily organize & lead the GCB Controllers CCAR response in partnership with Capital Planning initiatives.  In addition to working within GCB Controllers, the role will work with a wide range of stakeholders including but not limited to the Capital Planning Review Group, FP&A, businesses, and operations for GCB related issues.  The role will prioritize GCB sector-related financial reporting, data remediation, and process improvement topics to help facilitate improved forecasting results.  The role will collaborate with the Capital Planning Review Group to help implement best practices as well as being involved in a consistent Independent Review and Challenge (IR&C) function that culminates with an IR&C of CCAR results.  The role will also continue to update awareness of risk issues and changes across relevant business units and use this knowledge to amend audit approach where necessary. Additional responsibilities include driving other global financial analysis projects/initiatives in GCB to ensure delivery of timely and accurate external/internal reporting and meaningful presentations to seniors.

  • Leads and provides support, analysis, and insight for the IR&C of the GCB CCAR PPNR Stress Testing process at Citi.
  • Leads the efforts for each business unit in GCB to ensure there is sufficient, appropriate and well-documented IR&C of CCAR model financial results and projections for each line of business. 
  • Ensures effective, accurate and timely communication across functional areas, collaborating with the Capital Planning Review Group, and FP&A/LFOs for any GCB IR&C related issues.
  • Leads the efforts to enhance the current processes and identifies opportunities to help strengthen the process to facilitate improved forecasting results.
  • Leads the efforts with FP&A on aligning forecast products with financials reporting using current data standards.
  • Leads the remediation of any data remediation gaps such as segment reporting swings, missing critical data elements, etc.
  • Ensures IR&C processes are complete within established timelines.
  • Identifies opportunities for standardization and centralization of IR&C processes, sharing best practices and recommending plans for implementation.
  • Drive various global financial analysis projects/initiatives in GCB to ensure delivery of timely and accurate external/internal reporting and meaningful presentations to seniors.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services, financial planning and analysis, accounting, regulatory reporting, and CCAR specific regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to work with different levels of management across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Broad experience in managing large complex cross-company production programs.  Able to construct effective solutions that meet cross-functional demands, ensuring conflicting requirements are addressed.
  • Strong leadership skills –ability to align teams and resources to fit the overall strategy, and to inspire confidence and provide common direction across functional peer groups.
  • Ability to provide complete, accurate and timely information to partners for reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to innovate and champion progress for efficiency and productivity.
  • Sense of urgency in implementing processes and evaluating priorities; decisive, action-oriented and practical.
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to lead in a professional and challenging environment and deliver results against fast-paced deliverable deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding timeframes and respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Post Graduate Accounting / Finance Qualification e.g. CPA, CA, MS. MBA or equivalent preferred.
