Business Overview

The Commercial Risk organization is responsible for independent risk management of Citi’s Commercial Bank business organization. The Commercial Bank encompasses two distinct managed segments: The Citi Commercial Bank (“CCB”), with presence in more than 25 countries, and target market of mid-sized and large companies with annual sales generally up to $1Bn; and the Retail Business Banking (“RBB”), serving Small Businesses, mostly subject to delinquency management. The Global Commercial Classifiably Managed portfolio is worth over $50 billion in asset terms.

Position Summary

The position will support the Commercial Bank’s Classifiably Managed portfolio, as an integral part of Commercial’s Global Risk Analytics Team, located in NY. It is the team who manages centrally a number of critical processes for CCB’s global network, including the periodic Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (“CCAR”) and Allowance for Credit Losses (“ACL”).

The primary focus of the position will be to manage the CCAR process, which, effective 3Q 2021, will be conducted on a quarterly basis, and provide analytical oversight and support in other critical regulatory driven initiatives.

The position involves review and comparison of the CCAR results and forecasted portfolio’s credit trends, vis a vis historical performance, comprehending credit performance measures by processing relevant datasets, synthesizing, and evaluating the related information to draw conclusions on the reasonableness and appropriateness of the CCAR model output.

We are looking for candidates with portfolio-level analysis abilities, critical thought, and strong time management skills, who are interested in growing their experience in credit risk and capital analytics by supporting a global multicultural business.

The position offers broad on the job learning experience and further development opportunities within Citi’s Risk organization.


  • Be the operational manager of the semi-annual CCAR stress testing process (subject to FRB submission) as well as the additional bi-quarterly runs conducted to allow more frequent operating plan updates and better capital assessment and monitoring of capital-based limits.

  • Plan, organize, prepare analysis and relevant materials required for the Business, Risk and Finance reviews of the CCAR results.

  • Support analytically the CCAR Review and Challenge roundtable discussions among Senior Risk and Business portfolio managers from around the globe.

  • Strengthen, streamline, and enhance existing analytical methods used to comprehend the CCAR model output, and its variance over periods. 

  • Be the primary point of contact for the CCAR Wholesale PMO, modelling, reporting, and technology teams, as needed to ensure flawless and controlled CCAR processes.

  • Maintain up to date documentation related to the Team’s processes, tools and techniques involved in the ongoing quarterly stress testing exercise.


  • Min. 4 years of experience in the financial sector with at least 1.5 year in a current role

  • Working experience in the financial Industry, preferably a global bank, or a consulting firm, in roles associated with portfolio management and/or risk reporting, preferably in the classifiably managed area REQUIRED

  • MS Excel proficiency, ability to work with large data sets REQUIRED

  • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint REQUIRED

  • Experience in CCAR/Stress Testing analytics, PREFERRED

  • Working familiarity with Tableau PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of VBA/Macro PREFERRED

  • Experience in Project Management PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of credit risk concepts and drivers such as PD, LGD, CCF etc. PREFERRED


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree. Degree in a quantitative or financial discipline.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate concisely and clearly with overseas businesses and senior management

  • Responsible, highly detail oriented, able to work independently by prioritizing workload and projects to meet at times very tight deadlines
