About the Group: The mission of the Operations and Technology Business Risk and Controls (OTBRC) organization in Citi is to support the identification, assessment, and management/mitigation of risk across O&T related to franchise, reputational, regulatory compliance, and client risks. Within OTBRC, the Issue and Regulatory Management team drives alignment of regulatory requirements to Controls for EO&T, working with the businesses to ensure completion of mapping and identifying and monitoring key risks associated with regulatory compliance. The team also monitors the Issue Management Lifecycle of EO&T owned commitments, supporting the management and reporting of O&T Material Risks and facilitating OTBRC senior management awareness of at-risk and late Issues

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a detail-oriented Risk professional with knowledge of processes owned by EO&T (including but not limited to technology, cyber security, Third Party, and Business Resilience), related Regulations, and policies to lead ongoing mapping of regulations within EO&T. This is being performed for Transformation as well as ongoing Compliance activities-at both the Global and Country level - to ensure comprehensive linkage of and compliance with country and global regulations to our specific activities.

The Risk Regulatory Controls Lead will work with the relevant Businesses to ensure that regulatory mapping to independent-owned controls is accurate, maintained and appropriate as required by Compliance expectations, policies, and firm-wide initiatives. The individual will utilize their understanding of the organization and relevant activities and controls executed within our organization.

The individual will be responsible for partnering with both Global and Country level staff to affirm proposed mapping, challenge ICRM led mapping and act as a Subject Matter Expert in articulating, to internal and external stakeholders, the coverage areas of the segment they support.

This individual will also develop and maintain EO&T-specific processes and procedures that support Regulatory Mapping initiatives and will be responsible for performing deep dive analysis of specific regulations and controls across O&T to identify potential gaps and areas where cross-organizational alignment may be needed to fulfill the obligations specified in the regulation. 

Additionally, other activities related to regulatory compliance transformational efforts will be supported.

The individual will partner with EO&T SMEs and assist in execution of Transformation efforts and ongoing sustainability of regulatory mapping, inclusive of change management triggers such as changes in regulations, changes in MCA Activities and Controls and changes in Management Structure. This will be supported by ongoing regulatory reporting.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in regulatory or compliance management
  • Highly proficient in Excel -- ability to data mine and use Excel formulas/pivot tables a must
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Experience in reading and understanding laws, regulations, legal codes, and policies
  • Proven experience managing time sensitive highly impact tasks/project
  • Proven time and task management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to extract and review program parameters and results and provide management with an effective synopsis and recommendations for enhancements where needed
  • Ability to manage projects with limited direct supervision and direction
  • Ability to influence people across the business to achieve results and to successfully execute assigned responsibilities
  • Effective communication with Risk Management seniors and across functions
