The Digital Strategy Manager is a senior position responsible for managing the digital deposit products in order to drive the business performance of Citi’s offering for the Mass and Emerging Affluent Segments. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of digital deposit products and Relationship Tiers to increase customer volumes, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position. The role will focus on providing direction and leadership to the execution teams and reporting on results.

The Mass and Emerging Affluent Segments team is within the Segments & Product Department which is part of Citi’s US Retail Banking group. The Mass and Emerging Affluent Segments team is responsible for designing and delivering differentiated and competitive value propositions to defined client segments. The core focus is split between deposit and payment products (such as checking, money market, CD’s, money movement and fund transfer capabilities) and wealth products and services (such as Robo advice and self-directed investments).

Key responsibilities

  • Lead strategic program roadmap, program/product launch, and marketing programs to gain maximum benefit from digital deposit products and digital customer segments

  • Develop plans and execute functional digital strategies requiring coordination and integration across the enterprise

  • Ensure seamless digital delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results

  • Participate in development of digital client valued propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

  • Define and launch new feature, and capabilities including defining the product, feature and client go-to-market strategy

  • Support and guide profitable marketing strategies, lead conceptualization and implementation of key growth initiatives

  • Maintain current market intelligence on the overall industry verticals and competitors

  • Direct and oversee program life cycle including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field as well as develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace

Collaborative approach

  • Work with partners across digital, marketing, segment, fraud, product and technology teams to deliver go-to-market strategies and ensure the needs of clients are met.

  • Partner with business leaders across the organization to ensure digital roadmaps and collaborate on the future vision with a digital client perspective.

  • Partner with sales, marketing, product and other groups on analytics for driving digital performance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Digital, specialized analytics, or related discipline

  • Experience with banking and investment products

  • Working knowledge of the different systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles

  • In-depth knowledge of best practice, industry and competitor products/services

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Demonstrated negotiation skill

  • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to partner effectively with various levels within the organization.

  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations, self-starter and self-learner.

  • Multi-tasking skills with ability to manage complex projects and meet strict deadlines.
