Drive the direction of travel and evolution of the e-trading platforms, systems, and infrastructure to help Citi continue to grow the electronic execution business and capture share.

Must collaborate and work with internal stake holders, control functions, technology, quants, and other cross-functional areas to deliver products to market.

The role will entail maintaining existing products, rolling out new ones, incorporating client requests and its associated delivery working alongside internal partners within the firm to ensure a timely, smooth delivery fully compliant with internal firm policies as well as external regulatory requirements.

Requirements for this role are:

  • Experience and a proven track record delivering successful products to market in the electronic trading area, specifically around Smart Order Routing or algorithmic trading infrastructure (5 years).

  • Expert understanding of the US equities market micro-structure and regulatory landscape (5 years) 

  • Experience working across the various channels (High Touch, Low Touch, Program Trading, CR), and working across the isle with many organizations (compliance, surveillance, technology and quant) to deliver products in a number of functional areas (trading systems, order entry and management systems, client connectivity, ATS, IOIs, central risk, swap, prime)  (10 years)

  • Ability to communicate vision and ideas effectively to clients and peers

  • Experience with Excel, Python, KDB, PowerPoint is a plus Series 7, 55, 63, 24 licenses

  • Ability to build internal and external relationships and be customer focused and pragmatic.


  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred
