TTS Trade Working Capital Advisor - AVP
Citi's Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS), a division of Citigroup's Institutional Clients Group, offers integrated cash management and trade services and finance to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations around the world. The Working Capital Advisory team works closely with the senior treasury and c-suite executives of our largest and most complex multinational clients. The team provides strategic advice across the entire end-to-end value chain, advising on comprehensive digital working capital solutions and operational process optimization that can deliver sustainable working capital enhancements. The team will also help drive the upskilling and working capital fluency through their deep industry experience, helping cement Citi’s position as our clients’ trusted advisor. Uniquely positioned within the Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) franchise, the team covers both Trade and Cash Management solutions as well as work with partners across the Institutional Clients Group (ICG). The Working Capital Advisory AVP will be expected to gain a strong understanding of Citi’s TTS solutions while supporting the team on key deals, research and special initiatives. The role requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are also required.
Responsibilities:
Day to day, the Working Capital Advisory AVP will:
(35%) Assist the Working Capital Advisory team and contribute to key deals by:
Performing client financial and working capital analyses using both internal & external resources (e.g. Bloomberg, Capital IQ, 10-Ks)
Participating in client discussions
Creating and compiling materials for client meetings and internal discussions
Working with the Sales and Product teams on product positioning based on client feedback
Drafting RFP responses
Analyzing target client segments and identifying pilot clients for emerging solutions
(30%) Lead the research on macro and emerging working capital trends to identify sales opportunities and improve product positioning
Drive the creation and distribution of the quarterly working capital reports
Identify topics for external and internal thought leadership publications, articles and events
Work with other research oriented teams within TTS and the broader ICG to improve our client pitches and internal decision making
(15%) Review internal and external analytics portals/sources to standardize and streamline data analysis, and to improve the consistency and accuracy of the data we produce and share as an organization
(10%) Own the TTS Working Capital Advisory repository site, ensuring the material is up to date and relevant for the group and partners
(10%) Support ad hoc projects as needed & develop towards being an individual sales contributor and leader
Qualifications:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
3+ years relevant experience
Creative in solving problems and is intellectually curious
Hard working and diligent
Enthusiastic, quick-thinking and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
Confident, comfortable with clients and articulate in oral and written communication
Focused on achieving the group and client objectives
