Department Overview:

An opportunity has arisen in the Liquidity Management Services (LMS) Product team as part of the Treasury and Trade Solutions organization for an Investment Spend Manager reporting into LMS Lead Investment Spend Manager.  The role sits within the LMS COO organization.

The LMS business embarks on a complex, multi-year transformation program to realize the business vision of a Real-Time, Intelligent, Responsive and Global network, it is necessary and timely to evolve and grow the delivery management and governance processes/resources which will be relied upon to mitigate the delivery risk inherent in this franchise-critical investment. The Investment Manager will partner with the relevant product owners to provide the insight and discipline required to govern and scale the delivery management capability in line with the expanding risk profile of the LMS product development portfolio.  The role will focus on working with the Lead Investment Spend Manager to drive decisions to optimize the product development for the organization, The team will focus on managing $40-50mm of product development spend and working with the teams to achieve the highest returns on investment for this spend.

You will have the opportunity to help manage the LMS Global Product Capability Roadmap, support project planning, and Liaise with specific technology/product development teams highlighting areas of risk and solutions to mitigate that risk.  The role will work closely with the LMS Executive Committee, the LMS regions, the LMS Global Product Leads, the TTS COO organization, and Technology Team.

Knowledge / Experience:

  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles and related standards and policies (including various methodologies e.g., Agile, Iterative, and traditional waterfall)
  • Experience in financial services organization
  • Product knowledge across liquidity products (e.g., deposits, investments, cash concentration structures) is a strong plus
  • Understand industry processes and quality standards, industry trends
  • Experience in owing a function with full responsibility for all end-to-end process and technology activities
  • Skill in developing and presenting reports to senior management
  • Experience of developing and/or project management best practices.
  • Experience with project return on investment analytics
  • Training / certification in an established process framework (ITIL, CMMI, PMP, etc.) is desirable


  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Works with the LMS teams to articulate the financial value of each project
  • Identifies and drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders like senior management, program sponsor to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives and to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line.
  • Drives optimization of investment spend by prioritizing projects and working on deprioritizing low value projects
  • Manages the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Manages the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Manages business planning initiatives for an entire functional area.
  • Exercises control over budget, policy formulation, planning, and significant contribution to future strategy.
  • Identifies and drives resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
  • Supports the development of the Product Tech Investment Strategy.  Helps formulate the product vision for the LMS organization through the investment spend.


  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritize within tight deadlines while maintaining total accuracy
  • Ability to influence others and quickly earn the confidence of others
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience of using MS SharePoint
  • Quick learner and able to work in a diverse, global environment
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data, decipher items relevant to the development unit covered, and determine corresponding risk
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and also independently under own supervision
  • Possess the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with various levels of management
  • Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to benefit the organization and maintain client satisfaction


  • 2-3 years of experience in a financial institution
  • Experience participating in programs/projects management/PMO teams
  • Experience with investment management of tech spend


  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
