TTS Digital Client Experience & Data Solutions Manager, P&R - SVP

The Global Payments and Receivables Product Development team supports the Paymentsand Receivables business, one of the key components of TTS to identify new product ideas & solutions that drive differentiation, provide value to clients, and to the growth of the business, driven by the business’s strategic goals. The team manages the end-to-end product development process from concept formation to strategy, business requirement, design and development, pilot launch, global rollout, and commercialization.
SVP Digital client experience solutions role will create, refine, and execute on business requirements to support key Payments and Receivables product development digital strategies, harnessing transactional data to improve client experience, simplify operational processes, and improve business analytics and reporting.These strategies involve data acquisition, normalization, and presentation technologies.Acquisition requires the collection of a rich set of transactional data across multiple payment types in 250+ clearing systems of which Citi is a member. Normalization requires the use of an excellent level of understanding of data elements, and most importantly the business purpose of those data elements. Presentation of the data to clients, to internal stakeholders, and to external parties will involve a high degree of appreciation for demands of such stakeholders regarding data availability, latency, and delivery modes, including API’s, files, web user interfaces, SWIFT, etc. This is an opportunity to deliver an industry strength/robust solution in response to client cash management needs, internal needs, and those of external stakeholders.
The role requires a desire and ability to understand data elements, the systems infrastructure, delivery technologies, while having an excellent appreciation of the underlying business needs.The ideal candidate will be strong at analyzing as well as synthesizing problems and solutions,and will develop a thorough understanding of the variety of needs and expectations of clients and internal users. The role needs to be able to think long term to ensure economy of resources to help define long term strategies, rather than ad hoc solutions. The incumbent will be accountable to finalize requirements, and help define priorities
•Work closely with IT teams to ensure successful data acquisition from transactional systems: latency, availabilityEnsure a rich set of data is available from payment systems. Understand and devise strategies to overcome individual limitations of transactional systems.
•Work closely with IT teams to oversee data normalization to support the client and internal demands for a consistent view regardless of payment method and country.Ensure The semantics of data drive the standardization process using ISO XML 20022 norms
•Analyze and define requirements for presentation via Citi’s CitiDirect UI, via multiple file types, and via API (push/pull).Understand API latency needs.Define solutions that support different levels of granularity and frequency of transactional event reporting, depending on client and internal stakeholder need.
•Execute on the end-to-end product development lifecycle and scope product releases, agreeing to and tracking business priorities, incorporating regulatory and compliance requirements and investment tracking
•Identifies, gathers, and organizes client insights, internal innovation ideas, marketplace analyses and trends to drive to new concepts
•Creates a product vision aligned to business priorities and corresponding road-map to delivery
•Follows market, industry and client trends to own field and adapts them for application Citi’s products and solutions platforms
•Conceptualizes, plans, prioritizes, coordinates design and delivery of products or features to product release, and serves as product ambassador within user community
•Works in close co-ordination with Technology, Business Managers and other stakeholders to fulfill the delivery objectives
•Has responsibility to deliver direct business results and advice regarding product development that necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy
•Partners with business leaders and a widely distributed global user community to define and implement solutions
•Creates project plans, business and technical requirements documents for product execution
•Focuses on controls and governance, including performing Need-to-Know based security and access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing and documentation
•Become an SME in all events of the payment lifecycle, including exception events. Have clarity about when and how such events need to become available to support client actions, internal exception management, and initiatives to reduce exceptions. All with a goal to provide the agility to clients and Citi to manage exceptions
•Support discussions with pilot clients as the solution is developed. Support the commercialization strategy, including communication to stakeholders and clients
Skills, Experience, Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in Product Development/Management positions, preferably in Payments/Receivables roles
•Experience with Agile methodologies and tools including SAFe, Scrum and Kanban using Atlassian JIRA. Excellent understanding of epics, features and user stories creation
•Familiarity with one of key industry infrastructure including SEPA, US NACHA, SWIFT, CHIPS, Fedwire, EBA, Target 2, CHAPS, etc.
•Familiarity with key technical concepts: ISO 20022, Big Data, APIs, data normalization
•Ability to understand and dissect processes into core components so they can be analyzed, assessed in terms of criticality to the program.Ability to operate at different levels: to analyze issues, synthesize them. Develop themes. Understand risks, Translate lessons learned into actions
•Excellent communications skills to seniors, to clients.
•Ability to work on virtual projects and across virtual teams spanning global locations
•Bachelor’s in a STEM discipline preferred
•Project Management certification a plus
