Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) is a business unit of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group. We are the leading provider of integrated cash management and trade solutions for multinational corporations, financial institutions, and the public sector around the world. TTS is one of the most networked businesses in Citi, with our clients increasingly leaning towards centralizing their buying decisions.

Within TTS, the Digital Channels team is responsible for delivering end-to-end online banking capabilities to our users via our CitiDirect BE desktop and mobile experiences, as well as via our host to host and API solutions. Delivery of integration solutions for our clients with a very fast time to market, is now an essential part of this seamless experience.

This API Product Development Management role would be responsible to identify and solve client and business needs for Citi’s API proposition, by partnering with Product partners across TTS and CCB.  The Product Development manager is expected to understand the detailed taxonomy across APIs and lead the effort for governance of APIs across TTS with a goal to build a Globally consistent API solution for our clients.  This role would rely heavily on the support of the TTS Technology team, leading their efforts with the end objective to prioritize API development requests across Regions / Products and optimize time to market for our clients.

Position Objective:

The Global Channels Product team is seeking a talented, imaginative, and experienced individual who is passionate about providing best-in-class experiences for our clients.  Guided by feedback from our clients, by insights from our competitors / TTS product partners, and by our business objectives, the individual will be responsible for defining and achieving the right delivery model for our API development team.

The TTS API Product Development Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up a TTS-wide API Governance model in close partnership with TTS Product partners across Commercial Cards, Trade, P&R, Liquidity teams and to set clear objectives and deliverables across these stake-holders and track these to completion
  • Lead Product Development for APIs i.e.       
  • Prioritization and management of multiple API requests, across Regions from budget and scheduling perspective
  • Release BoW prioritization and alignment
  • Partner with the Global API Client Solution Manager on specific deliverables for large and complex API deals
  • Understand/evolve our thinking on how clients would like API flows in the Open Banking world
  • Track and provide regular statistics around Global API usage and penetration
  • Development Value
  • Learn Citi's Treasury and Trade Solutions business by working with product teams across the organization.
  • Exposure to regional and local business processes; Develop strong working relationships with TTS and CCB team members around the world. 
  • Fine tune Product Management skills, including in-depth understanding of business flows across various systems.
  • Develop an ability to manage large projects with multiple stake-holders across a complex organization.
  • Further skills in business & product strategy, and in program execution.
  • Exposure to senior leadership in TTS / CCB


  • 5+ years’ relevant product management experience, preferably with a background in managing complex Technology Projects across teams
  • 3+ years’ direct or indirect external client experience a must. 
  • Compliance experience a plus
  • Experience in successful implementation of large, customer experience projects while managing cross functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to respond quickly and creatively to complex issues.
  • Team player with ability to evidence leadership and build consensus while working within a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, and produce consistent high-quality work
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively solicit input and involves others in decisions and plans that affect them.
  • Excellent verbal, digital, and written communication skills.  Strong presentation skills. 
  • Excellent project manager, a self-starter with attention to detail and highly organized
  • Passion for the customer and their experience.   
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
