Treasury Markets Sr Analyst - Assistant Vice President
The Balance Sheet Management Group is responsible for Treasury-related analysis, forecasting, implementation of regulation, execution of strategy and other ad-hoc initiatives within the Markets (Fixed Income and Equity) businesses. The Candidate must understand the Treasury function, Markets-related products, the industry, balances sheet management and forecasting. The role requires the ability to communicate and analyze complex ideas with consideration for broader impacts. Likewise, the candidate must be able to coordinate across multiple businesses and finance functions to manage Treasury-related requirements efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the balance sheet, funding, liquidity, and capital risk across Markets businesses in Citi’s Institutional Clients Group
Partner with Equities and Fixed Income businesses, across other Finance teams, and Risk to make the most efficient use of financial resources
Perform analytics on key liquidity and capital stress metrics, balance sheet usage and funds transfer pricing, and funding requirements
Assist with ongoing development to Citi’s liquidity stress testing assumptions and infrastructure, partnering with Global Liquidity Management, Risk, and Technology
Support key Regulatory deliverables
Review and manage Secured Financing risk limits and indicators
Enhance reporting to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of data across platforms
Produce presentation materials for senior management for ad-hoc, regulatory, and committee meeting discussions, including Broker-Dealer ALCO
Successful Candidates Will Possess
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Willingness to ask questions and the ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts, requirements and related product and process knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions and collaborate with participants across the end-to-end process.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative and follow through until resolution.
- Perform analytics on key liquidity and capital stress metrics, balance sheet usage and funds transfer pricing, and funding requirements
- Willingness to be flexible and creative. As the team and processes are established activities and priorities will evolve.
- Advanced MS Office skills; Excel, Power Point, Word.
- Working knowledge of Tableau
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in Financial Services within Finance, treasury and product knowledge.
- At least 1 year of experience with Repo/Prime Brokerage/Secured Financing/Derivatives product knowledge a plus
- Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance or related field. Advanced degree a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance-related fields
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in Financial Services within Treasury (liquidity, capital, funding, transfer pricing, interest rate risk).
- At least 2 years of experience with Repo/Prime Brokerage/Secured Financing/Derivatives product knowledge a plus
