The Trade Product Strategy and New Business Program Manager manages multiple initiatives and programs and workstreams focused on the key must win battles and strategy programs and priorities for the Trade strategic growth plan. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in projects and coordinate drivers and strategic directions across the different product verticals. Accountable for end results, coordination across products for budgeting, planning, new strategy formulation and business intelligence.


  • Understand the Citi Trade business and its drivers and act closely with the global Head of Trade Product Management on aligning strategy and execution priorities across the different product families and geographies. Closely integrated on tracking and discussion key drivers and incentives to the organization.
  • Closely alignment with the Trade Business office to ensure timely and accurate product management content for Senior management updates and discussions
  • Closely work with Sales and banking groups for Voice of the Client and client at risk inputs and considerations for a x-product thematic discussion within the Trade product organization
  • Active and directly manage, track and follow-up on key program and project milestones which are mission critical for the Trade product management organization
  • Work with WCR and other institutional initiatives to act as the a single contact point for the product organization
  • Work tactically to break through bottlenecks and keep projects on track
  • Develop and implement best-practices that seek efficiency in program execution
  • Develop regular reporting and MIS to facilitate review and engagement around Must win battles and strategic program status, risks and “path to green"
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of new initiatives and prioritization when making business decisions;
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced project/program/product management and execution skills
  • Excellent communicator
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to execute in a large, matrixed organization
  • Good interpersonal skills


  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred and managerial experience
