The Assistant Vice President is a part of the Global Functions/Enterprise Operations & Technology (GFEO&T) Talent and Diversity team based in New York City.  

The Assistant Vice President is responsible for supporting and implementing strategies that will help attract, identify, develop and retain high-performing employees. You’ll be supporting the GFEO&T Talent and Diversity team, in the identification, development and tracking of talent, optimizing key initiatives, managing communications across multiple stakeholders, and spearheading strategic initiatives, while working across all levels.   

You are someone who gleefully makes and completes to-do lists, carefully thinks through the steps needed to get projects past the finish line, and proudly tracks progress. You have a high sense of urgency and strong attention to detail for planning and organizing. And because not everything goes to plan, you are someone who is flexible and can find solutions under pressure. You also set a high bar for yourself and produce quality work, and want to make a material difference through the building of the next generation of leaders and maximizing the engagement of our people—our most important asset.

You are not afraid of change, and are excited to be working within the wider Talent and Diversity team, and you are comfortable partnering with our key stakeholders including, but not limited to HR colleagues, Affinity and Network Chapter leaders, Diversity Committee co-chairs and committee members across regions.

Key Responsibilities

Support the global talent process (succession planning, pipeline management):

  • Build talent management and succession materials for the CEO
  • Manage quality check process and track deliverables, status
  • Develop reports and presentations for talent meetings

Support the global performance management cycle (annual goal setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end assessments)

  • Create communications for HR and business leads about performance management requirements
  • Track and manage the progress of each business in completing performance tasks
  • Help troubleshoot issues in the Workday system which houses the performance tasks

Act as coordinator for Talent and Diversity, including:

  • Support Practice Leads driving the talent and diversity strategy agenda within GFEO&T, in close partnership with HR partners across our other businesses and regions
  • Coordinate nominations process for selecting program participants
  • Manage communications to HR Advisors, managers, and selected participants
  • Coordinate meetings, send out schedule planners as needed
  • Manage reporting and representation goal change requests
  • Solicit feedback from participants, HR colleagues
  • Create and maintain documentation about the Programs (e.g., one-page descriptions, historical participant lists)
  • Support Head of Talent & Diversity with special projects (e.g. culture work)

Skills & Qualification

  • Technical savvy and proficiency with metrics/analytics/data management
  • Proven verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Flexible and highly adaptable to change, ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to learn quickly and strong problem-solving skills
  • Organized team player who can manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Familiarity with Workday a plus!
  • 2+ years’ experience working in Human Resources
