SVP, Enterprise Risk Management

Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function is responsible to align and oversee risk management across the organization and drives execution of enterprise program.  ERM operating model ensures consistent identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of risk across individual risk categories and in aggregate. Cross-ERM Initiatives team with Enterprise Risk Management function is responsible for design and execution of the ERM operating model and engagement across Business, Risk, Technology and cross-cutting functions to drive effective execution of enterprise programs as aligned to Citi’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework

The SVP Enterprise Risk Management will lead stakeholders’ engagement across lines of defense and drive progress towards target state execution of ERM operating model.


  • Lead ongoing communication of ERM Operating Model with business, risk and other internal stakeholders
  • Engage ERM leadership to ensure alignment of ERM outcomes to target state operating model
  • Monitor progress and resolve challenges associated with execution goals
  • Gain strong understanding of Citi’s regulatory commitments and internal risk management frameworks to ensure alignment to ERM Operating Model
  • Develop and deliver impactful presentations for senior management
  • Provide broader oversight of ERM Operating Model with project planning and management and act as additional resource where required.
  • Contribute towards a larger goal of a fully integrated enterprise risk management framework
  • Identify opportunities to add value beyond the scope of formal projects
  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal constituencies.


  • 10+ years’ experience in Financial Services
  • Project planning and management experience
  • Prior Consulting experience
  • Understands consumer financial services businesses and operating model
  • Proven strategic thinking and analytic skills coupled with financial acumen. Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Able to translate data and metrics from across different constituencies in order to create clear and concise executive presentation materials.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to create support across a wide range of stakeholders through well-developed interpersonal and influencing capabilities.
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communications skills. Able to work through a large, complex matrix organization; demonstrates a flexible approach and resilience to setbacks.
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down business and/or functional silos to optimize results.
  • Franchise player; broad, critical thinker, self-motivated; comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Organizationally savvy; understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret. Pragmatic problem solver, forward thinker with independence of thought.


  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Economics or another quantitative discipline, Master’s degree preferred
