The Convergence Risk Group is part of the Risk organization for the Institutional Client Group. The responsibilities of the Convergence Risk Group focuses on managing the risk of businesses where credit, market and operational risks intersect. The team focuses primarily on derivative and secured financing transactions (“DSFT”) firmwide, e.g., transaction approval, development of policies and standards, risk frameworks and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic review (market, credit, operational/legal risk, booking) and approval for complex DSFT transactions including equity margin loans, funded collars, variable prepaid forward transaction, etc
  • Review “New Product Approvals” for DSFT transactions
  • Help manage product programs, standards, policies and guidelines associated with Convergence Risk.
  • Participate in regulatory and audit reviews
  • Help prepare DSFT portfolio reviews for risk and business to identify and communicate key trends, emerging risks, new activities etc.
  • Prepare senior management and Board level presentations and analysis as required


  • 7+ years of experience in credit risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry
  • Very good knowledge of metrics used to measure credit and market risk  (e.g, PD/LGD, PSE, VAR, stress testing)
  • Senior Credit Officer ("SCO") designation highly desirable
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong capabilities to synthesize, prioritize and deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
