Cash Management Solutions (Treasury/Cash Management) is a key part of Citi Commercial Bank and integral to the success of both our clients and our business. The Senior Cash Management Sales Officer will assist Diversified Industrials companies across the northeast in managing and optimizing their cash flows while mitigating their operational, financial, and representational risks. They will focus on companies with revenues between $10 million and $1 billion annually to create operating efficiencies, cost savings, and time savings by delivering cash management solutions through a consultative approach. This role will be responsible for both assisting in new client acquisition and growing existing relationships. The Cash Management Sales Officer works closely with several partners such as Relationship Managers, Commercial Card Specialists, Foreign Exchange Advisors, Trade specialists, and others across the firm to provide global cash management solutions that best suit our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives new sales opportunities by identifying client needs and performing prospect research throughout Manhattan and the New York Metro area
  • Serves as a strategic advisor to existing and prospective clients
  • Connect Citi Commercial Banking solutions and process recommendations to companies’ working capital impacts
  • Deliver client-focused solutions through consultative interactions that include presentations, proposals, and relationship reviews
  • Assist with all pricing functions such as new pricing requests, exception pricing and annual price reviews
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Partner with relationship managers and product management to identify, solution, and develop products and services that meet client needs
  • Support initiatives and projects impacting the business as needed
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Cash Management products, systems and processes and be aware of industry trends

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years commercial banking experience, preferably within roles of treasury/cash management
  • Undergraduate business degree, advanced degree is preferred
  • Proven track record of initiating, executing and growing complex client relationships
  • Strong business development, relationship management, and negotiating skills
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships internally while navigating a large and complex organization
  • Certified Treasury Professional certification or equivalent preferred


Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
