This role will report to and directly support the CBNA Treasurer in the coverage of CBNA Treasury, Parent Company Treasury, Rating Agency Relations, and various efforts across the Crisis Continuum. The Strategy and Operations Lead will be responsible for supporting the CBNA Treasurer in all forums and efforts, including those that span all of Treasury and beyond, helping to coordinate and conclude strategies and key initiatives.

The Strategy and Operations Lead will manage multiple priorities on a day-to-day basis and must be able to respond quickly on time-sensitive deliverables. This role will require an individual with Treasury knowledge, exceptional relationship management, organizational, communication and influencing skills at all levels, and a strong focus on execution.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic

  • Key strategic partner to the CBNA Treasurer and leadership team – helping shape strategic decisions, coordinating feedback from teams, and delivering on goals
  • Develop and review presentations and materials for senior management, board, and regulators
  • Direct involvement in key business priorities as needed, providing additional support to the CBNA Treasurer and leadership team on core business focus areas, with an emphasis on governance and organization

Operating Model

  • Partner with CBNA Treasurer on developing appropriate operating models for each team, including talent decisions and appropriate business model
  • Build relationships across key partner organizations (including Balance Sheet Management, International Treasury, and CBNA to help drive strategic agenda and ensure flow of information)

Day-to-Day Operations

  • Directly support the CBNA Treasurer on all key deliverables and engagements, including preparation of materials, talking points and briefing material for forums such as CBNA ALCO and regulatory engagement
  • Ensure the right routines and tracking mechanism are in place to follow through on key decisions and actions emerging from operating routines and discussions

Qualifications:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and executive communication skills, particularly with senior management
  • Analytical and strategic mindset with ability to simplify complex information quickly
  • Collaborative orientation with diplomatic, analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Strong project planning experience; highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong written communication skills (e.g., experience with board / CEO level presentations, memos, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with tight timelines and deliver in stressful situations
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude among fast-changing environment and priorities
  • Must be comfortable with uncertainty, and working in a large, complex organization
  • High degree of integrity, ethics and confidentiality
  • 10+ years of work experience
