About the Team
The Business and Corporate Communications team is a nimble team within Global Public Affairs that covers a broad scope of responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. The team is responsible for designing and driving communications efforts that span executive communications, quarterly earnings, sponsorships and corporate social responsibility as well as our lines of business and functions. Within Citi the team works with a wide range of internal partners, including senior leadership, and coordinates closely with other members of the Global Public Affairs team around the world.  Members of the team also serve as company spokespeople to media and regularly engage with a variety of other external stakeholders. The team is also responsible for leading colleague communications across the firm.

About the Role

This role will be a key member of the Business and Corporate Communications team and will help create and promote high visibility work that supports partners and initiatives across the organization. The Senior Manager, Digital Content & Paid Media will play a pivotal role in shaping content for Citi’s corporate digital channels, while also developing creative tactics for reaching important stakeholder groups through paid social media campaigns.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of an editorial calendar across Citi’s corporate digital channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Citi Blog and emerging platforms
  • Coordinate with stakeholders internally and externally to develop and approve content, including regional communications teams
  • Partner with marketing leads to coordinate the development of content for various initiatives, events and topics
  • Work with internal and external partners to influence content development and optimize creative for digital and mobile consumption
  • Develop paid social media campaigns and tactics to support the amplification of key corporate messaging and executive thought leadership
  • Manage the day-to-day oversight of Citi’s external-facing global social media channels in conjunction with agency and other internal teams
  • Use a mix of quantitative and qualitative insights to drive decisions, measure success and encourage positive change within the organization
  • Support governance oversight and guidance for social media processes globally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field
  • 7+ years’ relevant work experience, within a global company or agency highly preferred
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience working in a role with a robust digital or social media component
  • Experience managing budgets and external agency relationships
  • Takes initiative, anticipates next steps and sets high standards in all he/she does
  • Team player with the confidence to take the lead when necessary while remaining flexible to support team members as needed
  • Bold, creative, thoughtful approach to work product and regularly brings forward new ideas
  • Persuasive when presenting to larger groups or in regular meetings, both internally and externally
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, and a positive professional attitude
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Superior writing and editing skills
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus
