Small Business has been identified as a key growth area for the consumer bank over the next several years. As the Small Business Cash Management Product Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving the growth of the current Cash Management product portfolio and leading strategy, innovation and transformation for the future Cash Management solution set.

This product manager will collaborate with cross-functional partners to:

(1) manage day-to-day activities and drive increased usage of the current Cash Management product set and Preferred Plus program

(2) define the future Cash Management product strategy as part of Project Catalyst and overall growth strategy

(3) define and execute phased simplification and migration plan for existing services

(4) manage existing Cash Management product audit and compliance issues as needed

(5) present to leadership and partners to gain support for initiatives and highlight results

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the small business Cash Management product and Preferred Plus program strategies including simplifying and optimizing the existing product line and developing market-leading new products, features, and customer experiences

  • Synthesize learnings from data analytics, competitive market intelligence, customer and market research to inform product decisions

  • Create and present compelling business cases to gain leadership and partner team support for key initiatives

  • Drive product/project execution. Collaborate with Deposit product colleagues and cross-functionally with Pricing, Sales, Servicing, Digital, Marketing, Technology, Legal, Compliance and Controls partners in execution planning, launch activities, and post-launch assessments

  • Manage existing Cash Management products including audit resolutions and corrective action plans where necessary to drive operational excellence (regulatory compliance, operational risk management, etc.). Support product migration and drive stop sell activities as needed.

  • Prepare business reviews to highlight results and recommendations to senior management

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience managing and growing banking products; small business and/or Cash Management experience a plus

  • Proven track-record of developing customer-driven product strategies

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve large-scale business goals

  • Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results

  • In-depth knowledge of industry and competitor products/services; familiarity with operating needs of small businesses

  • Working knowledge of industry practices and standards

  • Intellectual agility. High degree of comfort with ambiguity. Innovative thinker with the ability to challenge the status quo and devise creative solutions to solve problems and overcome hurdles. 

  • Ability to work unsupervised, handle multiple, competing objectives and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to strongly advocate for a course of action while staying open-minded to new ideas and information.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred
