The Data Risk & Controls Senior Consultant role in the Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO) will play a crucial part in supporting various project initiatives such as Data Risk Taxonomy enhancements, enhancing Data Controls Framework, analysis, and enhancements of Key Risk Indicators, Ad hoc projects to further strengthen Data related processes. The role will support multiple leaders within Data Risk organization to achieve strategic objectives related to Data. The individual will be required to collaborate across the organization to drive the change and support ECDO. The role is not a typical business-as-usual but rather project oriented. This requires candidate to be a high performer, highly adaptable in a fast-paced environment with an aptitude to learn, grow and take challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to multiple leaders for project execution activities; partner with stakeholders within ECDO and across organization
  • Support Lead to drive changes to data risk taxonomy, data controls framework, issues management and overall data strategic efforts
  • Bring risk-driven mindset to understand Data Risks posed and governance and controls around it to mitigate it
  • Manage end-to-end project management activities and artifacts to deliver on the change efforts
  • Follow internally established PMO protocols to be in adherence and compliance with requirements
  • Manage communications and interactions with key stakeholders and senior audience (Directors, Managing Directors)
  • Exhibit a highly disciplined approach to developing and executing initiatives that reflect the broader business objectives; able to incorporate key inputs from multiple stakeholder groups. Closely manages initiatives for impact
  • Deep dive into the details and the business while staying focused on the big picture and be able to “connect the dots”
  • Recognizes and drives a simple and pragmatic approach in everything we do; adept in data driven storytelling
  • Able to quickly integrate complex information and different points of view in problem solving exercises. Effectively probes for information critical to the decision at hand
  • Understand project management lifecycle and be versed in handling and producing required artifacts accordingly
  • Ability to synthesize information at a micro level and understand the impact at a higher level
  • Ability to deal with day-to-day ambiguity and quickly think on the feet to get the solution up and running

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of experience in financial services industry
  • Demonstrated track record of working in different areas of the financial services industry
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze datasets and or information to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Experience and or mindset around Risk-driven culture, compliance, and governance
  • Must possess analytical mindset and drive to learn, grow and take challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record as a major contributor having an immediate impact on business strategy
  • Ability to work independently but also in a collaborative environment to achieve the objectives
  • Prior experience in analyzing information data to draw conclusion
  • Prior experience managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-pace and high-pressure environment

Education:

  • Required minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, Management Information System, Business Administration, Risk Management
  • Preferred MBA
