Responsibilities

  • Sales Director for Agency & Trust Corporate Debt and Specialized Agency (“SPAG”) Sales Team, with individual client coverage responsibilities
  • Develop and execute plan for coverage of identified Debt and SPAG product and client set
  • Continuous effort to responsibly and sustainably expand depth and breadth of services across individual coverage portfolio
  • Coverage execution across product/market/industry segments and distribution channels to significantly grow revenues
  • Work with Corporate Debt/SPAG team head and business management partners to establish a clear marketing plan with defined revenue, client growth and market penetration goals; execution of sales plan for assigned individual coverage
  • Prospect, source and sponsor new business generation for assigned individual coverage targets
  • Engage and manage significant sales opportunities, campaigns, RFPs and pitches
  • Liaise with clients, market participants, and internal partners (Sales, Product, Transaction Relationship Management, Operations & Technology) to understand evolving client needs and market conditions; discuss existing capabilities and support Citi product development efforts in order to maximize related revenues
  • Work with Sales and Product Management partners to originate thought leadership materials; participate in relevant market and industry forums
  • Support market management oriented activities, such as wallet sizing of product and markets, distribution channel management, and marketing collateral/activities, in designated product area(s)
  • Build and develop relationships with external clients and key internal / external business partners (notably Citi Corporate & Investment Banking, Securities Services, Global Markets, Global Wealth and TTS)
  • Ability to leverage existing contacts network and prospect Citi offerings/solutions
  • Forge trusted relationships with internal partners to leverage Citi's franchise and source relevant buying and selling opportunities for assigned coverage portfolio
  • Pursue participation in a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 12+ years industry experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of:
    - Issuer Services products/services
    - Capital market/corporate finance participants and buying behaviors
    - DCM/Corporate Finance transaction lifecycle
    - Distribution Channel characteristics
  • Demonstrated experience of working directly with clients and stakeholders across all levels (C-suite and below)
  • Proven track record in sales planning/execution
  • Strong leadership/collaboration skills – team, business, and bank-wide partners/stakeholder
  • Consultative sales/client management acumen
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Technical product and business development expertise
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Proven inter-personal/communication skills
  • Demonstrated success at commercializing and distributing Agency & Trust products; focus on debt and specialized agency offering
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Good prioritization and time management skills
  • Outstanding presentation and creative writing skills to fomulate and deliver compelling internal and external materials


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, MBA or equivalent
