Regulatory and Market Manager (Product Specialist-C15), Director, Depositary Receipts (BCMA)

  • A Depositary Receipt (“DR”) Regulatory and Market Manager is responsible for driving risk and regulatory initiatives across the DR business. The overall objective of this role is to ensure global compliance for all risk and regulatory processes impacting all aspects of the DR business including issuers and investors. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and solution key regulatory initiatives and processes impacting the issuers and investors serviced by the DR business in the 60+ markets operated by Citi DRs
    • Produce and distribute routine risk and regulatory reporting for senior business management and governance committees  
    • Provide regulatory risk oversight and increase business awareness of risk management frameworks to ensure highest levels of risk and compliance integrity for the business
    • Identify the business’ risk issues and be proactive in promoting possible solutions to manage any residual risks
    • Manage global compliance for the business including working with regulators          
    • Regular communication and collaboration with wider Citi risk and regulatory teams globally
    • Exposure to industry related regulatory initiatives with the ability to represent the Citi DR business
    • Partner with functional and business counterparts to lead and implement risk and regulatory related work-streams

      Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in banking regulatory work or capital markets regulatory work
  • Knowledge of the US and international securities market preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to spot issues ask questions and escalate is a must
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, resourceful, reliant, and globally minded
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Demonstrated analytical and technical skills (especially Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment in a global business

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
