This role sits within the Digital who has a track record of successfully building large-scale business products that are collectively impacting millions of users around the world. Ease of use along with scale and reliability are some of the key attributes of the platforms that this team is responsible for. Our Mobile App and APIs are the central platforms for connecting partners and clients with Commercial Cards services and data.
You will support several high impact App and API use cases across the B2B & B2B2C spectrum and directly drive P&L value across various segments within Citi Commercial Cards. We are a group that prides itself on technical acumen, business savvy, operational execution, and cross-functional leadership.
As the Mobile App Product Manager, you will be a part of the team redefining Commercial Cards by building Mobile and API products for corporate clients (B2B & B2B2C), FinTechs, and other partners such as Mastercard and Visa.
You will collaborate with tech and business leadership at some of the largest companies in the world to define innovative solutions to persistent challenges. We are looking for a Product Leader who is inquisitive, inventive, collaborative, and excited about building great products and experiences from the ground up. The ideal candidate is strategic, technology-focused, and has experience building scaled platforms.
Define strategic mobile product offering in collaboration with cross-functional partners and convey mobile product vision, development roadmap, and innovation plans to senior leadership in an engaging, informative, and well-organized way.
Prioritize product enhancement and application fix backlog, using domain expertise, customer insights, and input from business partners in order to make informed trade-offs between competing priorities.
Lead the delivery of high quality mobile app offering and work with business partners on activities from initial sales, training, pilot testing, and overall go-to-market strategy to ensure successful commercialization.
Provide strategic and hands-on tactical direction to mobile app design, engineering, and testing teams ensuring quality solutions that are in line with client expectations.
Oversee the integration and commercialization of Citi commercial cards with Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay globally.
Manage relationships with external vendors and clients including establishing service agreements, SOWs, contracts, and review and approval of invoices.
Solid understanding of the technical aspects of APIs including design, process, governance, standards, platforms, and supporting an API end to end.
Serve as a product evangelist both internally and externally and bring external-in perspectives to how Citi Commercial Cards builds a highly scalable, reliable, high-performance app
Be customer-obsessed, acting as the voice of developers and Citi’s partners.
You’ll be responsible for fostering a strong agile discipline and inspiring teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
You’ll partner with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant and scalable technology solutions
You’ll establish a long-term product roadmap, informed by customer and business needs, and partner with leaders and stakeholders to regularly drive alignment, secure resources and overcome impediments
Understand the complexities of the payment integration landscape and identify areas where Citi can continue to differentiate as it relates to your product area.
What You Will Bring
8+ years of experience in software engineering or product development, with experience working with APIs and Mobile Apps
4+ years of product management experience in a fast-paced technology driven company (preferably SaaS)
5+ years designing and delivering world-class platform products that solve big customer needs, specifically in large scale distributed systems and platforms
3+ years’ experience working directly with software engineering teams to build product
Banking fintech experience is a plus but not essential
Ability to work closely with customers and partners listening and taking a customer-focused approach to defining strategy and setting priorities demonstrating a passion for the customer.
Willingness to make commitments and trade-offs with other leaders to remove impediments
Obsession with delivering value in an iterative way focusing on minimum viable products
Excellent collaboration and communication skills - leading execution across teams, influencing across organizations in small teams, and larger group presentation formats.
Proven analytical skills and intellectual curiosity
Comfort with ambiguity in a changing business environment, navigating between the big ideas and executional realities to create an achievable strategic Product Vision.
Understanding of UX principles and trends
Strong presentation skills and ease with communication with all levels of management and business groups
Bachelor's/University degree (Business Management/Computer Science/Engineering), Master's degree preferred not required.
