The Position

This position will be responsible for developing a business strategy and governance process to enable the Payments and Receivables business meet its obligations under the Wholesale Credit Program and related activity. The position will ensure that Credit/Liquidity/DDA solutions for payments and receivables have a consistent unified approach. The position will report to the Global Head of Credit & Liquidity Services

The position will support global, regional and local product managers to execute key strategic solutions related to Credit/Liquidity/DDA ensuring design, development, and delivery of consistent solutions globally.  The incumbent will drive the strategy, act as lead and single point of contact for payments and receivables vis a vis Credit/Liquidity/DDA stakeholders and Operations, ensure agreement on priorities, and maintain effective governance.

Responsibilities

The position will ensure a coordinated, prioritized approach to address P&R's responsibilities under the WLCR program defining and deploying capabilities in coordination with global, regional, and local and Credit/Liquidity/DDA Risk Management, operations, technology, and product managers.

Key objectives:

  • Governance:
    • Maintain a well-coordinated and agreed set of priorities and act as single point of contact with Credit/Liquidity/DDA Risk Management team, their technology, and Operations.
    • Work with Credit/Liquidity/DDA and technology teams on solution design, implementation tactics, and schedule of deliverables keeping in mind a future proof/strategic approach to solutions and connections.
    • Manage and communicate to stakeholders and leadership the Credit/Liquidity/DDA connection roadmap, book of work, and status.
    • Define business solutions, rules, and data requirements for Credit/Liquidity/DDA related functionality:  Facilitate and lead strategy and requirements discussions with stakeholders to define solutions.  Develop and maintain best practices and lessons learned to improve delivery and ensure consistency.
  •  Credit capabilities
    • The incumbent will be act as overall product manager across all payment products for DOL monitoring, management, setting business processes and standards and implementing product strategy.
    • Work with stakeholders to define and implement solutions that improve processes, optimize credit and reduce the cost to manage DOL using data science tools.
  • Liquidity capabilities
    • Ensure there is an agreed strategy and roadmap to connect payment processes to client liquidity management systems and support efficient management of bank liquidity
    • Work with liquidity management teams to build analytics to improve predictability of funds usage, forecasting client needs across currencies and geographies.

Experience, Skills, Qualifications:

  • Prior product development and management experience with significant senior exposure demonstrating
  • Familiarity with methodologies to improve Credit and Liquidity monitoring and analytics
  • Understanding of payment processing end to end for key methods: RTGS, ACH, X Border, etc.
  • Ability to operate at different levels: to analyze issues, dissect processes, synthesize solutions, develop themes, understand risks, translate lessons learned into actions, and quantify benefits.

Bachelor’s degree required.   Graduate degree preferred.
